and not just to their peers in parliament. It is disrespectul and dismissive of the British people who they are supposedly working for. They are a national disgrace and seem, clearly, to have forgotten that they are answerable not just to parliament but to the British people, not the migrants, who pay their wages and of whom they should show respect to in the role they hold and the job that they should be doing to their utmost competency.
@@twistedsister2568 How can you not think that the civil service at this level is just a paid off cult. He may as well stand up and start doing funny hand shakes.
Lefty anarchist civil service are costing UK taxpayers a fortune, they need dismissing for assisting illegal entry to our country and putting the GB public at risk due to having no proof of their backgrounds!!.
Anderson vents his spleen and achieves nothing. Words words words. We are paying for this panto. Blood scandle, covid , immigration, grenfell. Enquiries all achieving nothing.
Taxpayers money wasted on these cronies with massive wages, expenses & fat pensions Dan Hobbs needs to be sacked for holding back information in a public office
This is why we need people like Lee Anderson in Parliament. He's going to ask the difficult questions or questions that other mp's won't want to answer.
Maybe he should think before opening his mouth. At least he won't be on any committees and he will get tired of bobbing up and down trying to catch the Speaker's eye. I suspect we won't see to much of him.
Because they are there for life ( or as long as they want) they cant be sacked. The UK Civil Service is dominated by a coalition of "special interest " cliques who stick together and protect each other.
@@willie2761 What do you mean 'they can't be sacked' if that's the case, it's about damn time that changed...no-one should have that kind of power in public office, they're public servants, they either do what they're told by the MP's, our representatives, or they're out on their ear...to allow them do otherwise is giving them carte blanche to do whatever the fk they like... no wonder our country is a total shitshow....
Absolutely staggering. As you say they have to find accommodation for every illegal immigrant. They not only know numbers but probably have fingerprints, photographs and DNA for everyone. In addition to their claimed name, history until they arrived here and job history, police records et al. Their future in England needs all this and more pf these people. And yet we are told we know nothing, not even if they exist. You cant make this up. Unless you watch YES MINISTER Or ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES
I think it's naive to think this is incompetence on the boat issue. This is straight up corruption of the highest kind. This is our National Security been breached. The tro jan hose is unloading.
These civil servants think they are beyond reproach and immune to investigation. They refuse to enact government policy by throwing red tape at any issue. They need to be removed from post and charged with misconduct in a public office
Don't forget what May's lap dog did to Priti Patel when she told him to do "Your F*****g job!"..She was suspended, May stood up in the Commons and defended "her man" Priti was black balled and could not appeal, was not allowed to do her job but put out to dry..
That patronising and aloof tone he used to reprimand the MPs for expecting to get an answer to a question on the second attempt. Just sack this guy on the spot. He either has an agenda, or he is stealing a living from the public purse.
Quite so. (Like a lot of others on the Public Gravy Train also). I wonder which University he went to for his indoctrination. Answer that Sir, if you please.
You'll be pleased to hear that the "patronising and aloof" Michael Tomlinson *has* been sacked- he himself was a minister, not a civil servant, and he lost to the LibDems in last week's election.
Civil Servant says of Lees questions "It's a unique and effective style" . No it's called straight talking and common sense every working man can do it it's not hard!(!🙄.
Should be sacked for gross incompetence ,these should not be allowed to take these jobs and face prison for there open criminal waste of taxpayers money
Before retirement I was a senior manager in a municipality, in charge of implementing a government scheme to assist homeowners to renovate their properties. My purview included 160,000 private dwellings in one of the largest cities in the UK. If I had gone into one of the regular meetings with a director and was unable to provide him with statistics and progress reports I would have been toast. How these uncivil servants can get away with this snotty arrogant 'incompetence' (re - deliberate obfuscation and prevarication) is beyond me.
Alot of words but not answering the question. I can answer the question. Zero have been returned. For too long these civil servants have been evading scrutiny. I bet most are still working from home.
There you have ...it takes a working class hero with common sense to tell these so called educated types with no common sense how to do their jobs. We need to widen our scope of people who get elected to include more types like Lee Anderson.
What a bloody snob, 'the style' in which Lee asked the question....Just because Lee is from Bradford and he is from London. Just answer the question and stop provaricating
It's unbelievable that they can't give a number unless the real problem is that number sits at zero and the home office is show to be in complete failure of it's duty to serve the interests of the British public.
If they can't answer, maybe it's because they're being told not to record it. Which begs the question of how and why. My opinion would be that they've been TOLD not to, because 'they' want illegal freedom of movement. Not recording it means there's no data to refute or fight it through evidence based arguments.
The bloke in glasses needs to be sacked . I wouldn't trust him to tie my shoes. Frightening we have such running OUR country. Lee Anderson is spot on, brilliant.
Like or loathe him Lee Anderson he has a right as a member of Parliament to ask these questions. Good luck to Labour in dealing with these civil servants you're going to need it 🤣🤣
This is a win for Lee Anderson. since Michael Tomlinson has now promised an answer. The lack of information hitherto, seems likely a policy designed to frustrate such questions.
This committee hearing was nearly 7 months ago. Michael Tomlinson is no longer an MP, and of course Lee has chosen to be part of a noisy minority party.
@@marksnow7569 That's all well and good if the 'hidden' information has been available for several months. Countries need people who ask questions. I don't care what party they are in, but I do like government and civil service be held to account.
