The church in Kenya has put leaders who believe in God in a very awkward situation. Me, for example i usually wonder how i will share a bible verse or a picture of me praying in church without looking like i am following in the footsteps of William Ruto. We, who are proud of the God we serve, what will we do? Should we worship secretly for the fear of backlash and online trolling? Should worship be a publicized affair or a private affair? Are we supposed to use our political influence to win more souls or should we put an iron curtain between our religion and state affairs? This is a dilemma i have dealt with as a believer. Same applies to those who worship Allah in mosques. How do you feel when Islam is associated with the muslim leaders that hold government positions in Kenya? Do they represent the values of your religion?
