The sound of the MP40 from Brothers In Arms is ultimately the best. The devs for that series actually fired the real world models of each and every weapon featured in the games to record the exact sound. Now THAT, is dedication. :)

the sound of the MP40 in most of these is the same stock MP40 firing loop. the one in Sniper Elite III is the most unedited out of them all, and is actually how fast the sound effect depicts the ROF. this is a bit quick for an MP40 if I'm not mistaken.

I'd say Insurgency and Enemy Front do it the best out of these. The MP40 really doesn't move around when you fire it

Cod 2s mp40, looks like the charging handle stays in the same spot and the gun moves

Some of these seem accurate- Enemy Front, Insurgency and Medal Of Honor: Airborne, and some not ie. far too loud and the cycling is too quick.

Some of the reloads got me thinking, MP40 has both Safe bottoms were the bolt can be, I don't know why pick one of them if you can just put it back l like that guy in Insurgency did..

What exactly is the point of locking the bolt back? It is straight up a waste of time. Pull magazine from gun, lock bolt back, put in new magazine, release bolt. As opposed to pull out magazine from gun, put in new magazine, pull bolt back. It has no benefit at all in any way. Edit: the same can't be be said for the mp5 because you have to have the bolt locked back in order to remove and put a new magazine in. It's a real pain to get it in with the bolt closed
