A great artist! I met her back around 1973 or so. Patelson's House of Music opposite the stage door of Carnegie Hall. In the back room were classical guitars. She was around sixteen. She listened to me play the syncopated Bourrée from Bach's Suite in E minor. She critiqued my fingering choice in the final bars. Little did I know Sharon Isbin would become a multi-Grammy Award winner and first Chair of Julliard's Classical Guitar Department.
Beautiful technique and interpretation. She is one of those rare musicians who leave time to breathe in the music. I've just bought the amazing cd of her accompanying her sister singing Spanish songs so no wonder. This is lovely music played by a real artist. thank you.
Thank you for making this performance available on YT. It was excellent. You were able to express a lot of the unique tonal qualities of the classical guitar through the pieces you played. Thanks again.
Damn Sharon, you are awesome!!!! You twist your fingers around and make it look easy. I rate you as good as any male guitarist like Segovia and Williams!!!!! Your are truly a guitar goddess!!!!

Sharon, thank you so much for sharing your brilliant performance at this concert! You are not only an amazing guitarist, but your interview shows what a beautiful person you are!! You are truly an inspiring woman!! P.S., the video of your perfomance of Mallorca at age 18 touches me like very few things in this world have touched me!
lindo, señora, su guitarra habla, narra, predica y nos estremece las cuerdas corporales. mi humilde persona la felicita, gozo escucharle igual que cuando escucho a mis dos hijas interpretes de piano
It's strange - when you see people refer to great guitarists on various sites, she's not usually mentioned but I find her playing to be just as good (if not better in some cases) as many of the names mentioned. Consummate playing.
bravo Sharon. I've played everything from heavy metal to this stuff. Wouldn't you know studying jazz and classical guitar has influenced my metal playing and vice versa. go figure
Sharon, Awesome as always! You mentioned that you were in Paraguay last year.... It looked like you had so much fun playing with Berta Rojas in your one video can we expect from you two?
i would like to comment but i can't find words she can make love to her guitar in a way i can only dream of she makes me loose my breath so smart and so beautiful in body and soul
Incredible as always!!! Thank you!!! Please! What guitar (luthier and model?) That sound and tone of which of course you produce playing it! Thank you!
If you look closely at her guitar's fretboard, you will see the same evidence as Ana Vidovic's guitar, and what it takes to devote your LIFE to your craft.
