2:50 - the familiar sequence based workflow still remains in MPC OS v3.x, the arranger is basically just a way to view all the instrument tracks at once. 3:14 - my biggest gripe is exactly that, no mouse support when the interface almost requires a mouse. They are not leaning at all towards an interface that's designed for touch-only (like notes on the arranger are not grouped into clips, but float free on the timeline) and I find myself fighting against the interface a lot, especially when editing notes, which I hate on standalone.
@@ThatBonsaipanda I agree with both points. Mouse support will be vital to really get the most out of the arranger. I don’t know if it’s just my fingers but editing midi notes in the piano roll is challenging. I just find myself redoing takes via the pads/keys until I get it right to avoid doing any edits with my finger. With bluetooth support already added for some of the MPC’s, I’m almost positive they will open this up to us in the future.
Great explanation! I’m a bit on the fence with 3.0….I guess I’m used to 2.0 workflow. What advice would you suggest so I can accept 3.0? Great content! Keep up the good work!
@@shawndiggz8904 My best advice would be to just try it. If they said we couldn’t go back to 2.0, I’d say wait. If you are going to upgrade, back up all of your sessions and remove everything you have saved to the main drive. I’m sure you’ll be just fine though my man!
MPC with this update is more like a DAW then ever so whats the point? Might as well get a Akai midi controller and use a laptop and Daw 100x more powerful. On a side note your audio is way to loud, audio is distorting pretty bad, other then that good video, good talk.
What's going on man. I think it all depends on your preference. I enjoy using MPC standalone so i can appreciate the innovation. As far as the audio goes, I'm working on that. Still getting used to audio and video, but it's coming together. Thanks for the criticism brother and welcome to the BeatsNBed family!
