Hey Matt! When I go to my file browser, it won't let me open up my hard drive to use my own samples or whatever unless I use Mpc beats as a plug-in.. But I'm glad I came across your video, and we can at least bring samples in by draging it in... Thanks for the videos all day nice!

Hi when you drag an external file in, does it have to be music , could you drag in film voice clips like at the start primal scream - we wanna be free to do what we wanna do , things like that ?

In MPC Standalone mode I'm able to see and preview all my sounds. This is the internal memory for the device. For whatever reason, the MPC Software won't load the sounds and I can't browse my internal memory on the MPC Unit while in Controller Mode. Any tips?
hey i have a question. when im in sampler mode and i hit the arm button to record my sample it does not record when i click on it. the readings are there when im playing the sample but it doesnt record when i click it. im using mpc software with mpc studio controller. im using 2.10 version. and im using a mac. i use my rane 62 for my sound card.
What’s up quick question. I’m trying to sample an old song and I have it downloaded. Howeve when I try to import it it keeps saying it won’t load due to low memory on mpc. How do I fix that? I’m new to this and have no idea how to use the software

Off topic question: I noticed in the video that you have some Yamaha monitors (I'm not sure if they are the HS5, 7, or 8's) but I am curious if you have experienced any hissing noise from them? I have read reviews were some people say they do have hissing and others that say they do not. Whatever input you are willing to share will be greatly appreciated. Blessings!
I think it depends on where your using them at, if it's home studio you might hear hissing due to the the electricity that not filtered or cleaned so you have to buy a power strip filter, it should do the trick
Thanks for all the information, it is VERY helpful. I am however having a very weird issue, my q-link mode just turns off randomly and on randomly. In MPC beats where it says Q-link mode: Screen; All the knobs are "off" and I cant get them back on unless it randomly decides to come back, then they go away again so I can't use my knobs at all. Any idea why this is happening?
Hey man great video but im having an issue with uploading samples from the mpc browser. For some reason when i click on one of the template options in the list (Trap Template for example), it says I would have to replace everything in my current project inorder to upload the template. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey! I have a question: is there a way of dragginng and dropping (for example hi-hat sample) into the project and being able to play it right away? Im tired of dragging into the project and THEN choosing sample from 'sample layers window'. I wanna play it right away! Is there a solution?
Is there a way to chop n save samples to your computer files or drive ,cause I'd like to then put em on my compact flash n load into my mpc 500 ,also ways to put my tracks n project to mpc beats to further shape the sound ,I'm a standalone person who wants to incorporate this stuff into my setup for faster workflow n more sound design , basically combine the two,any help would be greatly appreciated
Yes, same process. Pretty much any MPC Beats video will work with studio 2 because studio 2 comes with the full MPC 2 software instead of the limited MPC Beats software.
i wish you told us to export them because i just imported a whole bunch of stuff i wanted to sample but now idk how to save it and put it on my USB in my sample files. (Im very new at this btw)
When you save the project there is a project folder that saves too that will have all your samples. It is in the same folder that you saved your project in.
@@MatthewStratton i ended up figuring that out but it keeps saying error cant save. Im trying to sample people/games/shows/etc to put in my music for ad-libs but idk why its not working
@@MatthewStratton also earlier I was pressing pad 1on my akai and it would play my sample and id be able to see a line on the music lines (idk what they're called) and I would be able to accurately pause and clip a sample by export but now when I press the pad 1 it doesn't start any sample even if I have it ready to be played, I have to hold down on it with my mouse. do you know what that problem could be too? Also sorry for all these question's lol.
See... I just assumed that would work when i saw the sticker on the box for the program. 🤷 i figured... The machine is amazing. Why would the software they are advertising suck? It's Akai... They know what they're doing, guys.
