Now the basic beat going on. I'm new to the mpc, do you have a video on the basic beat you have playing. I can feel I'm on my way, but still a little lack of confidence with drums. Thanks
Like the hi hat and snare you mean? Snares on 2nd and 4th beats. Hi hats you can use note repeat set to 8th notes (like the quantised dilla tip) and hold pad with hi hat from the start all the way through the loop. And kicks on beats 1 and 3. Thats the basic beat. Don’t have a video on that, yet.
Honestly I dont really think about it, I just do what ever I feel like and have done all of these techniques at one point or another plus any other random ideas. I dont care to much if I'm the first or last to do something, all I care about is if it sounds good or not.
