There are lots of videos showing the same thing about MPC 3 software, After Andy Mac demo it,.. and then here you come with a video different then the normal mpc 3 software videos. Love you Style and Video.❣🤛
Thanks for this, I learned a few new things... But a few of the key shortcuts you mentioned are already in MPC 2.15. I wasn't aware of them, but after you mentioned them I tried it on my MPC X and they worked in the old version, like holding Main and choosing a track. You can also tap a pad instead of touching the screen while holding Main. Also, double-tapping pad perform is a great tip. I have a shortcut in the browser (folder 1 2 3 4 5) set to go to the Splice folder, makes it a one-tap to get there. Looking forward to your new content! ✌

Got it activated after about 10 days and a call from advanced support and a ouple of emails via my 1st-ever support case (not the Beta one!) It's true! Cases never really close!
Great video as always bro! I don’t have MPC 3 yet; however, I do have the X SE and besides the hold record or overdub settings option, the rest of the the key “holds” are in MPC 2! In addition: holding 16 Levels= Pad Perform, hold Tap= Tempo Change, tap Main x2= track view, shift/ tap x2 XY FX= Sounds, shift + record= retro record, shift + stop= back to start, shift + play/start= metronome on/off. I wanted to share for those whose choose to stay in MPC 2 (not me, I will be advancing to MPC 3 when it’s available) or use these features now until MPC 3 is available for all. I’ve learned a lot from you and wanted to share these tools with your community. I’m looking forward to seeing your next videos! Peace
Sweetwater is awesome they have the best customer service I've ever experienced from any company. Just a thought nothing about MPC or nothin but have you ever thought about building a power rack to help with cable management? Buy a couple FURMAN m-8dX'S or how ever many you need and put them in a rack. Nice studio though! I just now found your channel ima dig into some of your videos here shortly! Solute!

This was another great video. You found different points of interest. Some people have a hard time giving a biased approach to making content. I like that you do not have a problem expressing what you like and what you do not like. (Pros and Cons). Great video.
I've heard Splice isn't keeping up on updates to match Akai updates. Wondering of Akai is over it and moving on. Might be a new company partnership in the works.
I just hope in future updates and future equipment that Akai put a real CPU and graphics card in all future products. All available forms of storage should be on it and definitely ram! They need to stop playing around and truly make a stand-alone unit that you will not need the computer at all. 💯🤟🏽
@@kvmoore1 Cut the crap with that converter talk. It's a lie. You can't name an interface with bad conversion today. There are no bad converters today. The old machines were just lower sample rate and lower bit rate. Lo Fi. That's not better... technically it's worse.
Double tapping pad perform/ pressing shift pad perform has gone to grid since around 2.13. Pressing and holding main to use pads to choose a track / program is also old functionality.
@@monogee I think MPC 3 will likely be the swan song software for this generation of MPC’s. I think it’s introducing concepts that will be refined for ‘MPC 4’ (that will only be available on the next generation of hardware due to the processing/ram on this generation being quite limited). I’d love to see Akai do the right thing for the planet and offer professor/ram upgrades for current models though. Send it to them and have it upgraded, save having to produce a whole new machine worth of plastic and metal etc.
I would also like them to allow us to add our custom sounds and sound collections to our favorites. I just recently got the entire collection of Yamaha Motif sounds and I have a ton of East West collections that I want to add also. Love this keyboard!

Agree with this. The high contrast is not subtle. Hope they give us some pastels. And Themes settings. A few monochrome options might be dope too (OG grey/black, green/green, blue/off-white). 🎨🖋️
I personally like the colors on the waveforms very much, just like the serato studio waveforms wich are colorful also it makes distinguish the samples much better in imo, nothing wrong with the colors if you ask me, in fact I would like the colors to stay that way.
Please dont let go of splice! I need that and I really hope time stretching is more comprehensive this go round. sometimes my math don't be mathintg lol the Daw world really spoiled me with not having to do all that. just drop and go
I just don't want to see waveforms when I'm writing/playing, it's too visual and distracting and gives me a headache. I'm very skeptical of this update
Nice video .. I might be the only one that passing in this update .. I’m old school I guess but this way to complicated now.. I have my daw for that .. but everyone is different I guess .. I’m sticking to Ableton
Don’t forget to just make beats. I spend more time watching guys talk about gear and making beats than learning the gear I have already and actually making beats. I NEED TO DO BETTER and if you feel me, so do YOU!
I switched to FL and only use my Mp to chop samples now It’s just easier to carry a laptop and have the same quality music and all of my vst’s and plug ins everywhere I go I love my live 2 but when it’s not hooked up to a cpu it’s so lacking
I wish AKAI would not give this “update”. I’m not impressed and not excited at all. What I’m seeing of MPC 3.0, this is not why I bought the MPC X or MPC ONE. I’d like it to be more of an instrument and less DAW. MPC 3 is more DAW and less instrument. I hope I’m wrong, but that is what it seems. I don’t use splice though. I only sample from vinyl.
@@NimbleX-MC it does have more DAW like features now but it will feel somewhat similar in a lot of areas. Where it feels different is completely different though.
