I unfortunately have to disagree with this one. I stand with you on free education for all, however, there are certain children who struggle and are more vulnerable than others for reasons beyond their control and quite often these issues become the nail in the coffin for their educational and economic development. I do believe that it is our responsibility as a community to ensure that those in extremely desperate situations are taken care of to a point that somewhat gives them a fighting chance.

@@lvseka Primary is free. Actually what is the need of getting 8k for a whole year as secondary bursary? Total money accounted for cdf in both county government & constituency is almost 100 billion. Waache kutubia. We are not analogue.

Silly reasoning by that politician. Requesting for CDF to be taken away from the hands of the MPs isn’t equivalent to the money disappearing or not benefiting the people. It’s just simply reducing the ability for MPs, who have shown very little financial transparency, from abusing and holding their people hostage with money that is rarely under strick regulation. This money can still be used for people’s local development through other more controlled avenues and will leave the MPs to focus on their primary job, law making and monitoring of policies from the executive government. Otherwise why do we call them legislators?

Don't confuse wanainchi. CDF can be channeled to benefit the constituencies direct by nationàl government without involving Mps. They should only play an oversight role, without handling money, or determining what the money is used for. Wanjuki decides through public participation.
