Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert are incredible together much like Steve Vai and Billy were in DLR's band and Eric Martin sings in key so it's a whole different perspective.

That was sad...hey they said over there that he played with Robert Plant...I will have to look back at what they were talking about as I did not see anything in his discography including that. Got to see these guys in a small club in Rochester, NY after they released their first album. It was quite a reality check for all the local musician friends of mine who were there too. Amazing band. 🤘🎸🎤🥁🔥

@@bobbydrex5268 I had friends who worked at the HOG, so I was able to bypass the line of people waiting to meet them and I got pictures & autographs from them. Even got to meet Eric after the show. Billy had a lot of people there so they didn’t leave right away. It was a great day. 🤘

I remember seeing Billy Sheehan ( bass player) in “ Talas” back in the mid 70’s. It was apparent , even then that he would go on to great fame and recognition. Go get em Billy! Love from Buffalo, NY.

Mr Big has it all. The chops, the catalogue, the limitless musicianship. Unfortunately too melodic for the metal crowd and too rock'n'roll for the "to be with you" hordes of fans. I hope they can still release a few more albums, despite Sheehan always been busy elsewhere, Gilbert's huge teaching gig and Eric gone just missing in action. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

The loss of Pat is the biggest issue. They have always found time for the band, but they didn't seem sure about going on without him, other than touring for the last album.

@@lobsterclown5224 I have listened to TWD. Always been a Portnoy fan too. Great band, but in my opinion their catalogue its still a bit inconsistent. As for replacing Pat, well he can't be replaced, yet all three remaining members are do contribute to the band's songwriting so in theory they should be able to move on. Let's hope they do.

@@kitoyobeni1 that's a huge factor, no doubt, yet I'm not sure whether that's the biggest. Reality is that, unfortunately, Mr Big pulls small crowds when on tour (at least in northern Europe) I saw Paul Gilbert live some 3/4 years ago in London playing for hardly 100 people!! Financially it gets quite difficult to tour so I guess they need to prioritise other projects.

They sounded great. But somehow I always missed the support of a rich solid keyboard base harmony to back all that great playing on the upper layers. Kind of naked at times specially during Paul solos, intros. Just a bit too dry for what the arrangement ( big, not just ac/cd kind of rock chords) seems to be calling IMO.

Besides the insanely talented instrumentalists I just dig the voice of Eric Martin. I can’t even say why, but hearing just one tune of him makes me smile and being happy. I’m simply getting in a good mood.
