muito, muito bom... *-* A música é perfeita... show de bola! I was a soldier with no regrets Walking on a fence Falling back on my feet again There was a vision decisions made To mold me out of clay Taking away my wings The man I'm supposed to be Now is the enemy I wonder who I am Will I be someone to remember After the glory ends Hiding in my disguise I'm a stranger, a stranger in my life (...)
@TheCaskOf43 First, I want to say thanks to YOU for your service to our country. I know the sacrifice is unimaginable to someone like me. Second, very cool you met Eric, I saw him w/Mr. Big this August in Foxboro, MA, could have met him after the show, & wish I'd had- unfortunately been suffering w/medical issues that bring a lot of pain, & by the shows end, I had to go. I hope someday I will meet him though. He is amazing.
When this came out I listened the whole album through and through. Came to my head for some reason today. This is a perfecr song. R.I.P. Pat Torpey! You are truly missed!
OMG mr.big, your lyrics just tells me who i am, what im doing, and what i was before. you made me realize it. and that "all the way up" song too. :( Nice songs! nice comeback! as always, i loved your songs. too bad i cant watch you this may 10! T____T
@lucasfernandessi You know what this is about? Him seeing a soldier in an airport who was sitting by himself almost as if he was invisible to everyone around him, Eric approached him, gave him a slight wave, and said, "Thank you for what you do." No idea if the soldier knew who he was, but I could only hope he at some point knows that he inspired this song. Eric was thinking, how someone could be a hero to one country, & the enemy to another... very thought provoking. Eric is a genius.
@Suzisueful I met Eric Martin in Kansas city...he told me his dad was stationed at Ft. Leavenworth, KS. I was in the Army at the time. His dad was pretty high rank, I dont remember if he said he was an officer or maybe a Sgt. Maj? But everytime I think of military anything, I think of me and Eric's conversation that day. (circa 1993)
It is. At least on my old playlist even though I use the free version of it. Have been using since 2007 or something. Took a pause, but today I listened it from spotify
