As a Bengali myself i hate Puja waste to the rivers so much, Idols are often made from non-biodegradable materials like plaster of Paris, synthetic paints, and chemical dyes. These materials can harm aquatic life and the health of the water.
You see if you compare waste that goes in water canals almost every waste is dumped in rivers compared with Pooja waste is much higher. The waste that I have seen that are dumped in water from pujas are diya which are made up of clay, flowers,leaf,and dead ash. All of them are biodegradable. Plastics are not used in Pooja if you have ever done a puja you will know plastic are not included in Pooja.

बायोशाला भाई मेरे पाचन में समस्या है शाम को मुझे पेट सफा चूर्ण खाना पड़ता है गुनगुने पानी से और सुबह सादा पानी पीकर लगभग 15 20 मिनट टहलना पड़ता है तब जाकर पेट साफ होता है
उसके बाद मुझे आलू के पराठे खाने पड़ते हैं फिर शाम को ही भूख लगने पर चाय से पराठे खाने पड़ते हैं और सो जाता हूँ उसके बाद सुबह 4 बजे उठकर गुनगुना पानी पीकर लगभग 30 40 मिनट टहलना पड़ता है तो मेरा पेट साफ हो जाता है
