That's how it started. It was just a song being played during a break in the action and the they cut it to return to play the crowd kept singing. A tradition was born.
Coming out of my cage And I've been doing just fine Gotta gotta be down Because I want it all It started out with a kiss How did it end up like this? It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss Now I'm falling asleep And she's calling a cab While he's having a smoke And she's taking a drag Now they're going to bed And my stomach is sick And it's all in my head But she's touching his chest now He takes off her dress now Let me go And I just can't look, it's killing me And taking control Jealousy, turning saints into the sea Swimming through sick lullabies Choking on your alibis But it's just the price I pay Destiny is calling me Open up my eager eyes 'Cause I'm Mr. Brightside I'm coming out of my cage And I've been doing just fine Gotta gotta be down Because I want it all It started out with a kiss How did it end up like this? (It was only a kiss), it was only a kiss Now I'm falling asleep And she's calling a cab While he's having a smoke And she's taking a drag Now they're going to bed And my stomach is sick And it's all in my head But she's touching his chest now He takes off her dress now Let me go 'Cause I just can't look, it's killing me And taking control Jealousy, turning saints into the sea Swimming through sick lullabies Choking on your alibi But it's just the price I pay Destiny is calling me Open up my eager eyes 'Cause I'm Mr. Brightside
As a K-Stater this is way better than half a stadium singing party in the USA,the Wabash cannonball,or Willie’s 59 Veterans Day push ups against Baylor
I was at this game!!! This was the best game Michigan had, thought Alabama was gonna be a better game!! This was close to the end and if we would not have made that pick Michigan may have lost GO BLUE
Came all the way from North Carolina and a kid who grew up Michigan I was nervous about the weather, BUT it was a beautiful day, with a pizza House victory on the way home
Yes. To me it's someone looking from the outside at something we wish we could have or keep. The part that fits is the "DESTINY is calling me...because I'm Mr. Brightside." It's knowing what we want and know it can be ours. We are now so close to it. This team is different
@@scottv8124Michigan as a football team has had it's heartbroken a few times, especially against anOSU. Watching as they go on to win the championship or get in the playoffs while we get stuck in a smaller bowl shows how much jealousy we have for that. For me the line "Destiny is calling me" without the music hits really hard. It's became our motto. We know what we want and we deserve but fighting to get there isn't easy. I might be off from other interpretations but that's just how I take the song.
