Props to the person who screamed when the intro hit. 🙂 Now I felt (certainly hoped) they were gonna play some classic Bungle this time around, so… HELL YEAAAH!!!
I think everyone would love for them to do a big band line-up again, play stuff off their old records, record new material, etc, but they really don’t seem keen on any of that. Keep in mind that they literally only reunited to record this one demo again and play some live thrash shows. I’m just glad they played any song off those past albums.
@@music4real well yea dude those guys live all over the planet. i havent read of any bad feelings from former members about it. if they dont mind why the hell do you care so much
Everyone asking why the crowd seems so dead, you have to realize this was the final song for the encore, they had just been brutally assaulted by about 1.5 hours of thrash insanity. On a Wednesday lol. But I’m sure there was a pit going off-camera, there multiple pits at the LA show.
Not to mention the assault by Melvins the set before. From the beginning of the night with Spotlights, til the end it was nothing but a Brutal assault the whole way through with some soft interludes from Mr. Bungle. The crowd wasn't dead, there was a pit, but I actually wanted to enjoy the song and watch the band because I don't heal as well as an old man.
eh there was just that one spot before going into the first pre-chorus where he hung back for a second too long. sounds more like being under-rehearsed than anything. similar thing happened when he filled in for metallica playing battery and jumped the gun during the bridge
He hangs back on all their stuff unlike Jed who always rushed ahead and made the real raging wrath what it is. Dave, on the other hand, zooms ahead a lot on rites of percussion, especially on the funky stuff
@@ObeseChess I loved the 2000 arrangement as it mirrored some of the scatting and percussive things fantomas was doing and would do… like “charade” etc.
Wow what a $hit crowd huh? This gift of a Super rad live performance of a Mr.Bungle classic was wasted on you turdz..stay home next time and let some fans enjoy the show next time? 😢
I was thinking the same. Thought they'd be going absolutely nuts. The crowd looked like a festival where everyone's there for a different band ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You cant see it here but there were some people going insane there. edit: it also seemed like a lot of the people there were new fans who weren't really familiar with their older stuff.
I really would love to hear Merry Go Bye Bye on this tour as they used to do this Bungle Grind of RWOTEB in the middle where it gets all heavy. Plus the song stripped down would work well with this lineup. I know it wont happen but damn would it fit this lineup, looking forward to Battles with them in Detroit. Speaking of witch Patton should be on a Battles song by now, its the drummer from Tomahawk make it happen already or at least on tour. I remember the Big Band days with the Melvins more of that collab work on tour would be welcome. I wonder if they will make new tunes or put out more early work or even some of the B-sides off of California that are known to exist but never heard. Idk if the WB rights are fully expired tho and dont care. Ill seem em in Detroit and maybe some of you.
@@nickcds3419 that makes no sense? The crowd clearly don’t know the song or old bungle discography. They could’ve cheered or something. Clueless shit crowd
I love Mr. Bungle and i love Dave Lombardo. But it sure would be nice to see them with a drummer that can competently play oh i don't know... anything other than demo tracks from when they were a teenage thrash band. Dave's one of the best metal drummers to ever live and I love him for it. But those three LPs aged very well and its a shame the occaisional stiff rendition of My Ass is on Fire is pretty much all you'll ever get from them.
