When I taught Junior High, I had a few of these. Except they didn't show up every day; they just showed up after you sent home bad test after bad test and then reflected those on the report card. My first response was " I do not give grades. Your child earns grades. And, here are the test papers to prove it." If any hint of calling me a liar, the conference was over.
I taught HS for 38 years in southern California (30 in Riverside county). I had a wide variety of these so-called parents (including school board members) who tried this BS with me. I crushed EVERY one of them. I found out later on that I was making statements that would come from Kevin Samuels (RIP) years later. “Fairness means you get an opportunity, fairness doesn't mean you get an outcome.”
No worries. I knew I would be a teacher when I was 14. The hardest part over my last decade was the willingness of administration to allow students to get away with an unbelievable lack of discipline. The best part was that the kids knew I wouldn’t put up with ANY of their BS.
I think you might have got away easy. With many people nowadays, equality of outcome is prima facia evidence of lack of opportunity. The equation has been turned around. They start at outcome and work their way back to opportunity, and then tinker at that end.
I taught in a private school. The WORST parent I had was a public school teacher. Her first comment to me was, "Judith likes her A's". The real problem was the spineless headmaster who didn't back me AT ALL even when I proved that this girl earned a B-.
@GodNotReal FYI-God IS real and you are here today proving it. In the beginning, GOD created the heavens and the earth. This is a scientifically proven fact so says Albert Einstein. You know the smartest man of all time.
I know a teacher who has to deal with this ALL the time. She and other teachers have to deal with kids who don't pay attention, don't finish their work, don't show respect, etc. But then supermommy swings in and decides it's not the kid's fault at all.
The simple answer is to grow a spine and tell "mommy" to fuck off and fail the kids. Of course, the school management would also have to have a spine too and back the teachers.
One day very soon you will be happy your child even has a teacher. This is particularly the case with science and math teacher. So just keep it up Karen.
Actually when dealing with modern, middle-class parents, especially women, many are like this. This is comedy and this is reality. Most don'r realize how many bad, entitled parents are out there.
When do parents realise the bittersweet acts of a teacher is for student's bright future. Instead of risking yourself to teach and developing these kind of kids, it's better to play along with parents and let them screw their kid's future. A better one, instead credit them more than they have asked for.
For years, I was a little league baseball coach of 11 and 12-year-olds. The kids were usually great. When a parent accosted me with some petty complaint, I would stare at the middle of their forehead between their eyebrows, with a poker face, and when they quit talking, I would walk away. Their experience was like talking to a wall. -C
Teachers’ unions are pure evil. They push the administration’s agenda, they don’t care about students OR teachers, and they all endorse democRAT Party politicians. Anyone who disagrees is likely a union steward
@@mikemiller7377 The unions push neoleftist thought that far outweighs this argument. Any teacher can secure their own legal representation, which will be paid for by the city after the city loses.
@@vitesse_arnhem Individual with a salary vs. large organization with a huge budget. Yes, this definitely leads to fair outcomes all the time. It's like grabbing a shotgun and thinking you can win taking on the US Army.
You pay not hina they Core And teach these animels because of people like you The union protechs them formal people like you again moron disiplin Yogurt Kids at Home not just leave it to teachers typical idiot american.
I taught high school and had a few of these tiger moms. I have had to tell them off before and one threatened to call the cops so i told her to call because i have all the documentation and proof and r3cordings... never heard from them again
Why does everyone think THEIR children are going to be somebody when they're older, don't they understand every homeless person was someone's child also?
Yup in my 20 yrs I’ve had 3 very severe helicopter parents .This is accurate. One even phoned every single day to find out what was been taught.. yip everyday. Office ladies didnt want to deal with the parent.. Sadly Im probaly due one.. soon.. it’s been too good. Ironically trying to confront these types makes it even more worse
This seems like the sequel (but there's probably another video in-between, the complaint about Gerry, the appointment with Lisa) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BB2UI5VrjBw.html

In reality, it isn't a "requirement" in US elementary schools either. They just do it so that the teachers can have their "break" for 45 minutes. It does nothing for academics and most schools only look at a GPA of academic classes. I took music classes to pad my GPA, but in the end, I was passed over because of my academic scores.
Because they had worthless fathers. Pos men. Thankfully those men are now incels and can't procreate Thanks to feminism women won't need them so they can make shitty comments like you all day since women dislike them.
"Mr. D" I think. Link to the series pilot: no this isn't a dodgy link lmao I am a very real person who was also curious ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3O49O8wIT0Q.html
I don’t really care about the other grades for the other subjects honestly mi amore. But the general paper grade deeply offends me. I know my theories and definitions so ain’t no way
When I was in Junior High school, My teachers and parents did not put up with my crap. this is why I am Pro-Corpral Punishment. Even the bible says in Proverbs 22:15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
Neither my parents nor teachers 'put up with my crap' in school, but strangely enough I never got beaten over it. That was saved for things like breaking a window and lying to the police about it.
I was a teacher and sent home progress reports and such, but most parents don't even look at them. Our school required that a parent sign each graded assignment and then it was returned to the teacher to keep for the year. When a parent complained about not knowing about their kids problems in class we could pull out their assignments, with the parent's signature, and ask why they did not know. It was the same with the kids class schedule. It was a paper bound planner that the parents had to sign each day, especially if the teacher had written some kind of critique or disciplinary action in it.
I have trouble understanding why uploaders don't make it clear what shows their clips are from. I'm from the U.S. and I've never heard of this show. Then you say, "it IS in the description." Yeah, with no punctuation, which made it impossible for me to interpret that to be the title. Just say, this is season 3, episode 5, and we're golden. It takes two fucking seconds. I shouldn't have to Google keywords to find this out. You made it needlessly difficult. If you love the show so much, you should WANT it to be obvious to potential new viewers.
This is a show called "Mr. D" and was aired in Canada. Sadly most Canadian comedies don't make it to the US. This was a good show. You might be able to find it on some kind of streaming service. That is how I found it.
In real life, a half wit, kid like that will probably do quite well in the public sector environment with the woke Ness, but in the private sector they quite literally will rip him a new one?
This parent as hot as she is, needs to have a more up to date and personalized parent teacher meeting...if you know what i mean to get her child the grade...she is not putting any effort into it other than griping.
What the hello. Where is the humour? This shows the arrogance on both sides. And the conceit, because the creators can't see it. I don't get the audience for this. Do they really exist? Look forward to seeing one one day.
