Tim, I apologize for some of the folks who think a differing opinion in grapple offering justifies personal attacks. Who would have thought a tractor attachment, of all things, would garner such peculiar behavior? I for one appreciate the insight, it will certainly factor into my decision when it comes time to purchase one. I hope precision is successful in their offering, just as I would any other American manufacturer. If people don’t like this option, please go buy something else! Competition in this space benefits us all!
Congratulations on reaching 100k subscribers!! That looks like a really nice grapple. I have a single lid grapple myself. You've shown time after time that value of a dual lid. If I was to purchase another grapple I'd opt for the dial lid. Keep the videos coming. We love them!
Tim, Glad you've been able to get to 100K subscribers. I love your channel and my favorite videos are the ones with grapples. I am living vicariously through your experiences and really enjoy seeing you helping other people. I also love the tilling and yard planting videos. Keep it up!
I talked to you a while back about this grapple it was a bit out of my price range I went with the single grapple , frontier av20f at 200lbs and $1400 I actually picked it up today hopefully I won’t regret going with a single 😄 love your videos keep up the great work!
wow you got a like for this video because the "mini fork add a grapple" is a REAL good idea! Can´t to see it on the channel in action! :) and concrats to 100K subs! ;)
Great video . Congrats on 100k that’s awesome you and Christy deserve it. Add a grapple will be a great option for some. Most people already have forks. Thanks Tim 👍jdmich
I like that Add-a-Grapple for pallet forks! I saw one similar a few years ago but it was a much clunkier design. Looks like an excellent solution for someone who only occasionally needs a grapple for smaller projects. For those with Artillian fork frames it also looks like it would work with in conjunction with one of the Artillian sectional rake lower sections.
I worked with Bill on this design, making it more lightweight by removing some of the duplicate frame. We think this is quite a cost effective solution!
@@TractorTimewithTim this is the first time I've ever thought to myself, "I really want that grapple!" I'm pretty handy with my regular old forks on my Mahindra 1526, but there's been a time or two that a grapple would've been handy. Could never justify the cost though. Looks like I'll be looking into adding a third function and an add-a-grapple. Thanks for another great video!
This is a great looking product! I've been shopping grapples for the last few weeks, and I have yet to see a rake-style grapple with a split lid. Tim you've proven that the double clamp is the way to go. The drawback here is obviously price. I tried the TTWT coupon code and it didn't work, but even so I think this may be out of my budget. Do you think they need someone to prototype it on an orange tractor?
The TTWT code definitely works. Make sure you do not have spaces before or after TTWT...it is 10% off. If the code still doesn’t work for you, cal precision mfg! They will get you the discount.
That is very difficult question for me. I really like both of them. Sometimes the flat bottom bed is really nice. Sometimes the clamshell is great too!
Not yet Tim I'm in the market for both the grapple and forks. I do understand the lbs vers tractor capacity!! I want to pick up at much as I can . I don't want to haul heavy attachments for sure. Does no good. I was on artillian it's always is your go too!! Sometimes it's like you said about the tiller. You have to get what is Right for you. I feel the forks from artillian helps with the purchase of both items!!!!! Your videos are very good. It bothers when people are disrespectful. Congrats on your hard work. One million followers.
I think the Artillian is right for you, Eric. You'll get premium forks as well as a modular grapple. I cannot say enough positive things about it. The Artillian diverter is perfectly mated to the 1 series. AND...there are additional attachments available for the frame (like the front hoe bucket, and 3 point hitch adapter). VERY nice system!
Tim, we, your fans, need you help. I need your help. Your like the big brother I never met but trust. I can hardly justify a sub-compact tractor. What I need is one of these grapples that do not need a 3rd function. Cost is a issue. It will see use, but not near the volume you do. More like four families indoor fireplace wood hauling from the woods to the trailer or to hold logs to be cut by a chainsaw. Also yard cleanup. My goal is to save my back. Which economical, no 3rd function grapple should I consider?
Honestly? None of them! They are a poor compromise. The 3rd function diverter from artillian is $715 for a 1025r. Bite the bullet and get it. You will always be disappointed with the compromise solutions. The electric one is too slow. The mechanical one does not provide sufficient flexibility/ functionality!
Tractor Time with Tim for what its worth, you are telling me to not get a grapple. I simply can hardly justify a budget price grapple without a 3rd function hydraulic system or diverter. There is no math that comes back justifying the 3rd function plus grapple. I may try to maybe make due with forks only. I’m posting withhopes that at some point you will choose to try some of the no-3rd function grapples then tell us they are a poor compromise but if thats the way you must go, brad X would be best for us and here are some tips.
Understood. Not exactly sure how to handle this. Seems almost cruel to ask a company for product so that I can say that I don’t like it. I’ll continue to look for ways to show them.
Tractor Time with Tim thank you. Your sponsor “Good Works” has a couple of them he used in his RU-vid video. I noticed, but decided to not comment, he had the Brush Crusher 4200 lower, free hanging stop brackets installed incorrectly. The two, U shaped brackets, when used with the JDQA John Deere Quick Attach need to be in the furtherest down, jaw most open position if you are doing lifting and dumping with a raised front end loader. The channel three cabins mentioned this in his video. He explained that as soon as you raise the front end loader, say if you are putting logs on a trailer, the logs will not roll off the lower fork unless the lower jaw is as far down as it can go. I think Tractor Works may have had better results had he made this one change. Also, three cabins said it worked better with the center jaw accessory. Hope this helps.
@@DougAlesUSA ...but the BC4200 is about $2000, and it is 283 lbs EVEN WITHOUT the center jaw accessory. ....and you can't dump on a high pile. I find it to be a horrible compromise. Be careful when listening to reviews by dealers trying to sell product (even if they are my friends online). I do not think GWT did the viewers a service when showing and discussing these two options. Yes, it will generate some sales for him, but money is not worth it to us. We made a decision long ago to only recommend products we personally believe are effective, and a good value (not necessarily cheap, but a useful value). Having said all of this, if you think the WorkSaver electric grapple, or the BC4200 thingy is right for you, go get it. Who knows, it might be perfect for you.
Tim I installed the 3rd function diverter valve from artillian and ordered the mini pallet add a grapple but when i try to engage the grapple i hear the solenoid clicking but the grapple cylinder wont operate any ideas would be much appreciated?! Thanks
Yes the normal function works my forks will raise up and down and tilt but the grapple doesn't move. I had to neck down from 3/8" npt on the cylinder to 1/4" lines to fit my diverter valve maybe it's a flow issue?

Thanks! Love the show. The John Deere pallet fork rack does not seem to have as many position slots. Is another brand a better option? Weight is an issue for me too.
I have there add a grapple for bucket but am looking for a rake grapple and I like that design and build but need bigger and I am not sure I light the design on the bigger ones they offer I do know Precision is a good company and helpful.
