Todays BOTB was requested by Dan McGee. He wanted me to use a Dorco Prime Platinum blade against any other Platinum blade. I chose the popular Persona Red Platinum blade. Dan wanted me to do this comparison as he feels this blade does not get enough attention.

Great shave, Mate!! I’ve never had much luck with the Dorco blades! The Personnas on the other hand. Awesome!! Try shaving with Dorco for three shaves. Auch! 😆 The brush is called Mandarin. Have a great week! And Stay Safe! 🤜💥🤛

Need to give the Persona blades a try, have a pack laying around. Don't have any Fordi blades, but might pick one up. Follow-up on the last video comment, tried the Nacet blades in the 6S this evening and they performed great compared to the Heritage razor.

I think it is worth trying blades in all razors before consigning them to the bin. It's fascinating how a blade can have so many different personalities when used in different razors🙂

Another great shave and BOTB Gary, thanks for doing this. I bought 200 of those Dorco Platinum blades last week after reading some old old reviews, and they were all positive. And I’ve got to say, for me they are as sharp as an Astra green but somehow feel smoother at the same time. And £10 for 200 can really sway your bias 😂😂😂 and no glue which is a bonus Have a great day and stay safe 🙏👍

I have both of these blades and haven't tried either of them. I have been on an SE kick lately so all the things I though I was going to try has been backlogged. I'm curios to see if I have a similar experience. THanks for the video and have a great day!

I really don't give blades much thought. I bought a few different one's when I started but pretty soon found Voskhod, and stuck with them. I suppose this is shortsighted. If they stopped making them I'd be screwed. The problem is if I were to try a different blade on any given day, I risk having a negative experience. A poor shave! A small brus! I have a 22mm which I quite like. Easy to move around the face. A nice knot I suppose. I just noticed that Signature Soaps, which I believe you, and many others, rate highly, sell 'travel' size soap for 6.80. It would be rude not to🙂

If it ain't broke, don't fix it as the saying goes👍 Having said that, if you like Voskhods I would make sure you have plenty in your den. I don't think there will be many coming out of Russia any time soon🙂 Personally I bought a pack on three different occasions and all were duds lol. I gave up after that.

Haven’t used either blade, so unfortunately I can’t give my little nugget of wisdom on this one. Try and contain your disappointment Geraint, I’m sure I’ll have something to complain about on Wednesday video 😂 I know what you can do, the Persian Beef, ingredients and method in the description of Wednesdays video please 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

🙁Are you ill 🤒 I do hope you get back to your usual comic self soon mate🤣😂🤣 I will sort the recipe for Wednesday. The ingredients and prep are really easy, it's just the 5 hrs of constant basting that is a bit of a ball ache. It's so worth it I the end though mate👍

Good comparison shave! The Dorcos are available for under $9.00 Cdn on Amazon and I've been debating picking them up to try. Odds of doing so have just gone up!

The Dorcos in general seem to get a bad rap. The Dorco Titan I think are still on Amazon a few quid for 100 which is a steal as they perform quite well for me :)

Hi Charles, Without wanting to put you off, I must admit I certainly wouldn't buy one now, not with the experience I have gained since buying mine. I have often found myself regretting the purchase even if it was bought in 2008 and was only my 3rd razor lol. If you like a mild shave then this will suit you down to the ground. You will need to use a Feather or Kai blade in it though lol It is too mild if you use anything else.

@@MrGShave Mr G, I wound up with 2 AS-D2 razors. Just wondering if you would like to have one of them. I read so many good things about this razor. But It was terrible no matter what angle I used to shave with it. Way, way too mild for me. Don't want you to think I was going to send you my junk. Well, thanks for responding. Hi, great video. I bought the dorco because of your video and they are excellent. Maybe it could be a great video making a ranking of all the razor blades that you have tried in sharp and smooth.

Thanks, much appreciated 👍 I have tried so many blades it would take a while lol. Also some blades perform better in different razors so that would need to be taken into account, making it even more complicated 😅 I think it would be a brave youtuber who takes on that challenge lol.
