@@dhaerieshan most of the apps in the playstore or elsewhere are proprietary. so they don't share the source code to anyone. even in the open source, i have not seen anyone linking their source code in the app. only possible way is to reverse engineer and arrive at the code. this is process is not simple and only few security specific folks can do that. so technically what this guy talking in B*llS**t!

The hardest part isn’t decompiling the app to get the code, but understanding the logic and workflow. Developers often use meaningless variable and class names, a technique called obfuscation, to protect their code. Only experienced and skilled developers use this technique effectively. Just to clarify, I’m not commenting to justify Mr. GK I’m just discussing the technology that exists.

@@dhaerieshan agree, there are a lot of obfuscation libraries/tools available that devs use at the compile time instead of trying break their heads while writing the code and these libs ensure the reverse engineering is not straight forward. i'm pretty sure, the best bet would be less than 5% in that participants group know about this. the way GK claims to read the code from app looks to be a piece of cake but in reality it is not. that's my point.

If you have the right tools you can obtain the APK or even the IPA of the apps and decompile. An experienced coder can reverse engineer or analyze the code. I don't know what your IT experience is, but we have done this many times many years ago.

I have clearly mentioned about obfuscation; the backend is typically obfuscated unless it is built for charitable purposes.
