i always assumed he was winking because he had duped them into thinking he was gay, but then i also always wondered how he had so deflty gotten involved in the blackmail and then perfectly invited to the party as if he knew it would happen. your reading of it makes so much more sense and is much more iconic!!!!
@@zammich3649 I always thought he was straight and a master spy but it's currently June so I'm inclined to believe he was a gay spy who used that "vulnerability" to his advantage
The common irony of having the gay character play the 'straight man' in the comedy act. The 'straight man' being the one person who acts normal throughout the skit.
He really didn't have to be gay to be iconic. When I watched it as a kid, the "homosexual" thing went over my head. All that was needed was he was a joke throughout the movie until he turned out to be the hero in the end.
I’m the backup cop, since I have no lines we pretend the cop is just mute, and the true Mr green. Oh, and my bestie who plays chief of police says their larry’s wife 😂✨
I don't get why people think he was just pretending to be gay throughout the entire film. He was obviously happy that he just killed his blackmailer and could go on living his "double life" worry-free. It was just a joke and he was continuing to act straight.
@@tcog9300eah many here don’t realize that he’s just yet lying again to make sure his secret stays safe He’s the actual innocent out of the blackmailing mr boddy is a close minded prick
My theory is that the real Mr. Green (gay) didn’t attend the party. He was swapped out for thus undercover FBI agent. Maybe Mr. Hoover had some sympathy for actual Mr. Green given Hoover’s own penchant for cross-dressing.
@@TheAguyer89 the director genuinely thought green was straight and only pretended to be gay , vrs I thought at the end was when he lied to the group saying he was straight when he’s not .
Why argue about him being homosexual? Clearly in this ending he pretendet to be gay for his coverstory to blend in with the others, while in the other endings he cannonically is gay, as he is not an undercover FBI agent.
Because the third ending is technically the real ending since right before they show it they say "here what actually happened", and for the others it's "what could have happened". So technically, only the third ending where he's not gay is what's supposed to be the truth.
I choose to not hear the last line of the movie. He's going to go home and sleep with his what? Sorry I blacked out for a second and didn't catch it. Surely he said husband. Yeah : )
nooo he said wife because he (unlike all the other suspects) wont have his blackmail revealed. it was real blackmail on him, but since his boss was (probably) there he had to cover it up
@@Pheonix8877 Well he did say he was just going to go out and say it since he already knew he was being blackmailed so he might of thought, "Ya know, if I'm gonna be blackmailed, I might as well say it proudly." But he ended up keeping his secret.
He’s not gay. He was undercover. Clearly at the end when he revealed who he really was. Not only by working for the FBI, he said “I’m gonna go home and sleep with my wife.”
