the life with the engine at full power took a little more time than that of the Minardi (test at Misano. The engine broke the lateral connecting rods when it went at full speed so it had to go below 10,000 rpm, that's why it was so slow
The reason why the Life was so crap was because the W12 engine they had was completely flawed. While the W-layout engines Bugatti uses have 4 banks of cylinders, the Life W-layout engine had only 3. While with 4 cylinder banks it's possible to separate cold and hot sides, with 3 banks it's basically impossible. Thus Life's W12 engine's intake took in some hot air from around the exhaust pipes, which caused overheating, lack of power and unreliability. The funniest thing is that Ernesto Vita who designed the engine tried to sell this W12 thing to teams like Williams. Frank and co must've had a look at the engine and immediately thought "That piece of crap is not going to work".
that lotus was not even remotely bad, he was fighting for the world championship in 2012 and 2013 with kimi, I could even say that he was faster than williams himself this season xd

Lola didn't make it because of the 107% rule. Life was between 15 to 30 seconds slower... THAN THE LEADER OF THE PRE-QUALIFYING!! And that's when they were in their "best shape"... The car was even slower than a F3000 (which was the equivalent of F2 right now)
@@Heigxion Ahahahahahaha you make me laugh. Life in the 90 'was a little slower than Minardi. But the engine if it went to the maximum power broke the lateral connecting rods. If the engine went below 10,000 rpm, the connecting rods wouldn't break.
