it is in the sop it states they need reasonable suspicion/Probable cause to stop a vehicle yes if its speeding or runs a red light they can 100% pull it over and run the plate but you can just run every plate of every car on the road not only is that a privacy violation its miss use of government equipment and not practical at all in terms of RP. The plate reader dose not require line of site its an AOE around the car meaning if a car thats stolen and has no plates goes near a cop car it will flag even though there is 0 plate for that thing to run happens a lot on the server same shit with a cop being infront of you and you dont have a front plate it will still flag. Thats why they should only turn that thing on or use the info when they see the car break the law. To be honest the plate system needs to be reworked cops should have to enter plates manually or they need to rework how stolen cars work add a plate change NPC or some shit @@Nate_2359

@@JumpShotHD The reason is they know what cars locals drive and what cars locals leave parked and are only driven by crims who stole them. Like any normal city in the US. Perfectly reasonable in-character suspicion. Kinda makes you miss the old days of 1-2.0 where they had to look for things like broken drivers windows for reasonable suspicion, and cars were only insta-flagged as stolen if it was obtained from a carjacking.
