Lucy Mack Smith said of Emma "I have never seen a woman in my life who would endure every species of fatigue and hardship from month to month and from year to year with that unflinching courage, zeal, and patience which she ever has done."
8:45 pm mdt... Thank you for this message! I, too, love Emma and am grateful for her strong spirit to carry her through all her heavy trials! She is an elect Lady and I'm certain stands at Joseph side this day... having proved herself over and over! Karl Anderson... you have been a friend for a long time... even though you barely know me, I remember you and love your son Joel and family! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your research! May Father forever bless you and your dear family! 💜
Beautifully stated. I'm so grateful to her for suffering as much as Joseph. No matter her stance on plural marriage, her love & loyalty to Christ & Joseph cannot.be overstated. She paid dearly for her beliefs. Thank you Brother Kirtland! Your testimony is so appreciated & your family's history must be wonderful to know! Have you written any books or articles? I'd love to buy any! Thank you! And God bless you & yours & the Mighty work before us! ❤ Amy Corbett
Please identify Dr. Karl Anderson as the "Mr Kirkland" in the title of this video. That is an honorary title given to his 40 years of expertise on the LDS period of Kirkland's history.
Please be honest. If you think that Emma was elect, honest, and faithful, then please address the obvious elephant in the room. As you well know, Emma (as well as Joseph and Hyrum) vehemently and continuously denied polygamy. Was Emma telling the truth? I hope that she was. Of course, you cannot suggest that Emma may have been honest in her denial of polygamy, and maintain your comfortable status in the church.
@Jjj53214 Your point is very important. I believe with all my heart that Joseph nor Hyrum ever practiced polygamy, ever. I’ve read every word Joseph ever said about polygamy and he was 1000% against it. The LDS church today paints the picture pretty much opposite of who Joseph really was. Joseph did not have “as many as 50 wives“. Joseph did not pursue teenage girls. Joseph did not entertain relationships behind Emma‘s back. Joseph did not have sexual relations outside of marriage. Joseph did not marry other man’s wives. The LDS church has fulfilled the prophecies of Isaiah, where he clearly states that Joseph’s reputation would be “marred”. Saying these horrible things about a true prophet of God, a man of true integrity, is very damning, and in fact “mars” a good man’s reputation. It’s disheartening that the church goes to such great lengths to make Brigham Young look good while throwing Joseph under the bus as often as possible. Those two men could not be more opposite. Brigham Young was a murderous individual, money hungry, and a major adulterer. Joseph was a humble servant of God, a man of integrity, and a true prophet of God, chosen by God himself to do his work.
Joseph accused Emma of attempting to poison him twice before witnesses later. He said he knew where she got the poison and from whom. He called her the most wickedest woman who ever lived.
@@andreatimmers1720you should keep your uneducated, ignorant remarks to yourself. You have no idea what you’re talking about. Leave this to the grownups.
