I'm just going to say what I think after ignoring all the warnings and reading about what happened to Junko. Honestly, when I first read it... It didn't seem real. To me, it just doesn't seem like anyone would be able to endure that much pain for so long. Those four boys should've gotten the death sentence for putting someone through that much pain and it pisses me off how they just got a few years in jail and then they got to leave. I know jail is a very serious place, but comparing the punishment they got to what they did to Junko.. They deserved so much worse. I wonder how many times Junko cried out for help.. The Junko Furuta case is something I’m incredibly saddened but oddly fascinated by. It was the first true crime case I ever wrote about. It’s so sad and terrifying what the poor girl had to go through, and god the injustice as well. The sentences on the boys were just incredibly unacceptable. I sort of pay a silent tribute to her everyday, hoping she found peace. Cases like this as well as the Sylvia Likens case just disgust me but interest me for some reason. I just find it so odd and interesting how someone could be so cruel to commit such violent and horrific acts to completely innocent people. The saddest part to me is how she was on her way to be such a successful young woman, but it was cut short by some asshole who was angry that he got rejected. It’s scary and oh so sad. As I said before, I can only hope that she found peace. Rest In Peace, Junko Furuta. You will forever be remembered.
I just did a deep dive through this case and decided to finish with this song which was a horrible mistake. If I had listened to this prior I would have definitely glorified it, thankfully I knew the past behind it and it caused me to break down. Stories like Junko and Sylvia Likens are awful to hear, but I think incredibly important. In both cases, there were people there who could have done something, and did nothing. For Junko, it was fear because one of the boys claimed to be with the Yakuza, so his parents were terrified. With Sylvia, it was the time period. Neighbors heard her screams, and because we were in a time period of 'mind our business'... I have no doubt that neighbors heard Junko, too. I'm not saying go hyper vigilant, but if you see or hear something that is clearly wrong, you need to do something about it. Better safe than sorry.

Funnily enough, Japanese law makes it where they are legal organizations so long as they aren't breaking the law (or caught breaking the law, or... well, you know fear and money go a long way). They're so feared that some families simply buy enough stock in companies to get into the board room, then send a member in to sit on the board meetings. The mere fact that a Yakuza 'family' is involved, and sitting in the room, is enough to sway all business decisions. The line further blurs when you learn the Yakuza do the same thing many American gangs due in times of crisis: They help the people. During earthquakes and tsunamis, the Yakuza are there, passing out food and water, clean clothes and medical assistance to the average person. It makes it hard to believe these are the same people who would take someone and skin them alive and pour salt on their wounds for doing something wrong that was ultimately minor. I have never heard of the Yakuza approving of what these boys did. I hesitate to believe that the one boy remained a member after he was arrested, because the action would--from their perspective--be shameful and careless. Honestly, I was half-expecting him to have gotten killed in jail tbh. Not that they don't do horrible things, but this particular thing was something needless and unnecessary, and he was caught to boot.

I quickly turned on light and a moment after it was trying to throttle me - he did it on my soul body, what is more interesting about this is, that he put a pressure on my "apple core", in RL I don't have it, since my physical body is girl's one. A story similar to the Japanese girl happened here in Romania 3 days ago. A murderer kidnapped a girl and kept her in his home,raped her and tortured her,poured battery acid on her. And Junko Furuta had the nerve to say “No”… On November 25, 1988 she was kidnapped by 4 teenage boys - one of them being Hiroshi Miyano. The boys took Junko Furuta to the house owned by the parents of one of the kidnappers in the Ayase district of Adachi, Tokyo. While in captivity, the kidnapers forced Junko Furuta to call her parents and tell them that she’d run away and is going to stay with a friend, but insist that she’s not in danger. Not able to realize what was coming and too scared to remain non-compliant, Junko did exactly as she was told, ultimately forestalling a manhunt which would have otherwise followed her disappearance. Parents of Nobuharu Minato in whose house Junko Furuta was kept paid their son a visit on a few occasions but under a threat of increased violence against her, Junko was requested to pretend that she was a girlfriend of one of the boys. However even when it became apparent that she was a captive in the house, the parents did nothing for fear of retaliation from Hiroshi Miyano who was known to have the Yakuza connections. Junko Furuta’s Death During the course of 44 days when she was repeatedly tortured, beaten and raped, Junko Furuta begged her captors several times to just kill her and be done with it. They didn’t grant her that favor. Instead, on January 4, 1989, they challenged her to a game of Mahjong solitaire. She won and that pissed the boys off so they treated her to a beating with an iron barbell and fire by setting her legs, arms, face and stomach alight after pouring lighter fluid on them. Being already badly beaten, dehydrated and malnutritioned, Junko Furuta fell into a shock and died the following day. The murderers stuffed the dead girl’s body in a 55-gallon drum filled with concrete and disposed of it in Koto, Tokyo. Of course the body was found and evidence was linked the the 4 boys that kidnapped Junko. after Court, Three of the boys served less than 8 years, the leader was originally sentenced to 17 years in prison, but after his appeal, instead of lowering his sentence, judge Ryūji Yanase bumped his sentence to 20 years. The same judge also increased the sentenced for two bore boys who appealed. One didn’t so his sentence stayed as was. Either way, they’re all in their late 30′s and all out of jail.

It's one of the most infamous Japanese murder cases notable for the number of people who were aware of what was happening to Junko but refused to say anything (reminiscent of a type of Japanese omerta). On 25 November 1988, Miyano and his friend Nobuharu Minato wandered around Misato, with the intention of robbing and raping local women.[3] At 8:30 pm, they spotted Furuta cycling home after she finished her part-time job. Under Miyano's orders, Minato kicked Furuta off her bicycle and immediately fled the scene.[3] Miyano, pretending to be an innocent bystander, approached Furuta and offered to walk her home safely.[3] Gaining her trust, Furuta was unaware that Miyano was leading her to a nearby warehouse, where he revealed his Yakuza connections. Miyano threatened to kill her as he raped her in the warehouse and once again in a nearby hotel. From the hotel, Miyano called Minato and his other friends, Jō Ogura and Yasushi Watanabe, and bragged to them about the rape. Ogura reportedly asked Miyano to keep her, so that they could all have a turn. The group had a history of gang rape, and had recently kidnapped and raped another girl, although she was released afterward.[3] Around 3:00 am, Miyano took Furuta to a nearby park, where Minato, Ogura, and Watanabe were waiting.[3] They told her that they knew where she lived (from a notebook in her backpack) and that the Yakuza would kill her family if she attempted to escape. She was easily overpowered by the four boys, and taken to a house in the Ayase district of Adachi, where she was gang-raped.[3] The house was owned by Minato's parents, which soon became their regular gang hangout.[4] On 27 November, Furuta's parents contacted the police about their daughter's disappearance. In order to forestall the manhunt, the kidnappers coerced her into calling her mother. She was forced to say that she had run away, but was safe and staying with a friend.[5] She was also forced to ask her mother to stop the police investigation into her disappearance. When Minato's parents were around, Furuta was forced to pose as the girlfriend of one of the kidnappers.[5] They later dropped this pretext when it became clear that the Minatos would not report them to the police.[4] The Minatos stated that they did not intervene because they were aware of Miyano's Yakuza connections and feared retaliation and because their own son was increasingly violent towards them.[4] Minato's brother was also aware of the situation, but also did nothing to prevent it. Furuta was held captive in the Minato residence for forty days, where she was abused, raped and tortured. They also invited and encouraged their other friends from the Yakuza, to torment Furuta. According to their trial statements, the four of them raped her over 400 times, beat her, starved her, hung her from the ceiling and used her as a "punching bag", dropped barbells onto her stomach, forced her to eat live cockroaches and drink her own urine, and forced her to masturbate in front of them. They inserted foreign objects into her vagina and anus, including a lit light bulb into her vagina and fireworks. They burned her vagina and clitoris with cigarettes and lighters, and her eyelids with hot wax. They also tore off her left nipple with pliers and pierced her breasts with sewing needles.[3][4][5] Some of the torturers' friends have been officially identified, including Tetsuo Nakamura, and Koichi Ihara, who were charged with rape after their DNA was found on and in the victim's body.[3] Koichi Ihara was allegedly bullied into raping Furuta. After he left the Minato household, he told his brother about the incident. His brother subsequently told their parents, who contacted police.[3] Two police officers were dispatched to the Minato house; however, they were informed that there was no girl inside.[3] The police officers declined an invitation to look around the house, believing the invitation was sufficient proof that there was no girl in the Minato house.[3] Both officers faced considerable backlash from the community. Had they done their due diligence, Furuta's ordeal would have only lasted sixteen days and she may well have recovered from her injuries. The two officers were fired for failing to follow procedure.[3] At the beginning of December, Furuta attempted to call the police.[3] However, she was discovered by Hiroshi before she could say anything. When the police phoned back, Miyano informed them that it was a mistake.[5] As punishment, they doused her legs and feet in lighter fluid and set them on fire. They also pushed a large bottle into her anus, causing severe bleeding. She reportedly went into convulsions. During their trial, they stated that they thought she was faking a seizure, so they set her on fire again.[5] She survived these injuries and continued to be raped and tortured. Furuta is reported to have asked her captors on multiple occasions to "kill her and get it over with", but they refused. Instead, they forced her to sleep outside on the balcony (it was winter at that time) and locked her in a freezer.[5] One of the kidnappers told the court that her hands and legs were so badly damaged that it took her over an hour to drag herself downstairs to use the washroom.[5] Due to the severity of the torture, she eventually lost bladder and bowel control and was beaten for soiling the carpets. She was also unable to drink water or consume food and would vomit after each attempt.[5] She was also severely beaten for this. The brutality of the attacks drastically altered Furuta's appearance. Her face was so swollen that it was difficult to make out her features. Her body was also severely crippled, giving off a rotting smell that caused the four boys to lose sexual interest in her. As a result, the boys kidnapped and gang-raped a 19-year-old woman who, like Furuta, was on her way home from work. On 4 January 1989, the four boys challenged Furuta to a game of Mahjong, which she is said to have won.[5][3] Out of frustration, the boys beat her with an iron barbell, kicked and punched her, and placed two short candles on her eyelids, burning them with the hot wax.[3] They made her stand, and struck her feet with a swinging stick. At this point, she fell onto a stereo and collapsed into a fit of convulsions.[3] Since she was bleeding profusely, and pus was emerging from her infected burns, the four boys covered their hands in plastic bags taped at the wrists.[3] They continued to beat her and dropped an iron exercise ball onto her stomach several times. They poured lighter fluid onto her thighs, arms, face, and stomach and once again set her on fire.[3] Furuta allegedly made attempts to put out the fire, but gradually became unresponsive.[3] The attack reportedly lasted two hours. Furuta eventually succumbed to her wounds and died that day.[3] Less than twenty-four hours after her death, Nobuharu Minato's brother called to tell him that Furuta appeared to be dead. Afraid of being caught for murder, they wrapped her body in blankets and shoved it into a travel bag. They then put her body in a 55-gallon (208 liters) drum and filled it with wet concrete. Around 8:00 pm, they loaded and eventually disposed the drum into a cement truck in Kōtō, Tokyo.[6] On 23 January 1989, Hiroshi Miyano and Jō Ogura were arrested for the gang-rape of the 19-year-old woman they had kidnapped in December. On 29 March, two police officers came to interrogate them, as women's underwear had been found at their addresses. During the interrogation, one of the officers led Miyano into thinking he knew of Furuta's murder. Thinking that Jō Ogura had confessed to the crime, Miyano told the police where to find Furuta's body. The police were initially puzzled by the confession, as they had been talking about the murder of another woman and her seven-year-old son that had occurred nine days prior to Furuta's abduction. That case remains unsolved to this day. The police found the drum containing Furuta's body the following day. She was identified via fingerprints. On 1 April 1989 Jō Ogura was arrested for another sexual assault, and subsequently re-arrested for murder. The arrest of Yasushi Watanabe, Nobuharu Minato, and Minato's brother followed.
Reading what all of them did to her literally made me shake, even worse those monsters didn’t get punished properly and were let out of prison early.. they should have gotten a death sentence!

I listened for about 30 seconds before I realized who he was talking about. I had to double check to be sure, but it's about Junko Furuta. For all the hell she went through, I'm glad she doesn't have to feel anything anymore.
