this was such a hidden memory from 7th grade but over a decade later it's still how i remember the layers of the atmosphere, so now i'm showing it to the next generation of students tomorrow and hope it lives as rent free in their heads as it does mine
KNEW THIS WOULD COME IN HANDY ONE DAY. had a question about which choice is not part of the atmosphere and i immediately started singing this in my head.
Story time. There was this girl in my class (we were in our sophomore year of high school I think) who thought that the atmosphere was a gelatinous sphere around the earth. We were in chemistry one day and she was like "I don't understand how spaceships can get through the atmosphere." After she said that she explained why she thought that, and the look on our teachers face was like "Girl, you dumb af."
So I'm gonna be a senior in high school this coming year and my teacher showed this to me in sixth grade and there was a period of time where I couldn't find this anywhere but now I found it and I'm so happy you made this
My science teacher showed us this song last year, and we were laughing the whole time, and then we decided to learn it in class, and we all got A's and B's! It helped so much! Thanks!
yo, i normally don't like rap, but my meteorology teacher played this in class yesterday, and today we had our quiz, and lo and behold, i remembered this song. now i listen to it and enjoy it. who'd a thunk i'd use rap to help me learn?
Dear Mr Lee, If I had been so lucky to have a teacher like you when I was growing up I think I would have become a scientist! 50 years ago the way we were taught was THE most boring!! My granddaughter in Tennessee loves your videos and it's through her that I found them. They are wonderful. Today, for the first time EVER I know the layers of the atmosphere...and the best part is you made it fun to learn!
