Yes! The new season is beginning again for our amazing M15 and his second season with his new lady, F23. She was a first time Mom last year according to her plumage showing she was barely 5yrs old just reaching breeding maturity, so M15 had to teach her the ropes. There's no better teacher than M15 since he was taught by his Queen, Harriet, during their lifetime together.👑🦅
F23 won his heart over many others that were pining for him. He was in survival mode after Harriet went missing at roughly 30yrs old, after she was seen chasing an intruder away from her very young eaglets and nest. Unfortunately no one knows what happened to her. He paid no mind to their attempts, but tolerated a few visits to his tree and chased them away other times. M15 became Father of the Year in 2022 as he took on task of a Full time provider and protector. The housekeeping may have fallen to the way side but he was truly focuses and was amazing at raising both babies to fledge all on his own. All while multiple females tried to battle it out for his attention and acceptance.
F23 came along during summer after the eaglets fledged and was able to bond with M15. She was young and inexperienced but he saw something in her and chose her. She did such an amazing job learning from a highly skilled teacher and using her instincts to raise her first eaglet, E23 to fledge. 🦅🪹🐥❤️
In this video you can see just how much her confidence and their bond has grown already! Both of these love birds were beaking it out with each other to get their way while performing nestorations and it was so funny I had to share! M15 likes his ladies tough and Harriet was tough!😍🤭
P.s. That log was brought in by F23 just days ago and a local photographer captured her actually breaking it off the tree before she hauled it into their nest. I think she's a little protective over it.😚 *M15 has extra white all down his shoulders for ID reference. *F23 leaves and returns while M15 stayed behind.
