What no one ever mentions is this is a bad ending for the real Elliot. Dude is about to wake up and find out his love and childhood freiend is dead because of the actions he did
In my opinion the audience is meant to be the true Elliot. "His Friend" that he talks to. We are all observers while the mastermind takes control. We are Elliot.
love this. its exactly how i interpreted it immediately. but i dont think thats as deep as it goes; i think tyrell plays a part. they set up so many red herrings that allow us to go "oh that was in Elliotts head" and make too many parallels between elliott and tyrell that i cant dismiss it! i think tyrell and elliott are one in the same amd towards the end that part of his personality was ready to doe you can hear the same dying deer noise when "mastermind" puts "fcorp" elliott in a box ready to send him away for good.
I still think to this day that the whole thing with Fsociety was mostly made up. Like Vega breaking his sould and revealing the truth about his father was real, but the whole Chinese superspy stuff was not. Because if we believe that all of this was happening and at the end E wakes up from the phyiscal trauma of the explosion and all the stuff he did, then to bring the truth to life, SamIsmael would have for a second, shown us a police or FBI outside of the E's room waiting for him to wake up. I watched this show twice and I think that what we were watching was episodes of reality mixed with what Mastermind WOULD Have done to keep E safe. E planted his father's good side to work with Mastermind because he wouldnt trust him too much. 2nd season with the whole prison freaked me out and it was one of the most amazing twitsts I have ever watched in anything. So my belief that E wakes up from a long coma or state of mind-vegetation where he physcially was there but not really till the last shot.
I wish they focused on WhiteRoses machine for the ending. I thought the disassociative personality disorder stuff was a cool gimmick to move the show along, and the sexual assault discovery was pretty a heavy bomb shell to be dropped for sure, but I thought WhiteRoses machine was more interesting. They could have fleshed it out more and done a whole season about the aftermath of the machine with shit loads of drugs and craziness like in the first season.
Sorry but I might be too thick for this. Can someone explain to me please if, then, the clean shaven Elliot who ends up in the box...what's up with that, was that part of a dream? And Dom being a street cop, is that real?
This tv show is more f up then the Sopranos final when they kill Tony whit a black screen. In this as s show they show Elliot like he is more then 1 person and is not my type of show bec they f whit the time line to much and in the end yea just a few billions lost womb womb .
