Law breakaz was the coldest song and i aint go argue with you about it. Car jackers kid nappers murderers and burglars law breakers money takers that be armed and dangerous.
P is one hell of a business man even to this day with all his products he got the man got chips, cereal, pancakes noodles ,shoes etc p still ain't playin...💪
It sound good for now! P will eventually be, framed just like all the rest! Then! The generation wealth you speak about, will returned back to the Elite's!
No Limit was the best movement of all times in my life time i bought every CD that dropped and each one came with the poster to match the album cover I used to get them at G-Town Sound out westend Lexington,Ky
Music is garbage nowadays🗑 🚮 I miss the good music and label runs of No Limit, Cash Money, Death Row, Murder Inc, Rap-A-Lot, etc. Nothing beats the Old School. 💯
@@omizzy20 All of those labels were established before 2008 but the shift came from copy cat artist rather than artist wanting to create their own lane. The same can be said about auto tune (before 2008). Dancing has ALWAYS been a part of our culture. It’s never going away.
I love how P handled business correctly I haven't heard not 1 artist say P had them in a messed up contract or they didn't get paid everybody had a house and some money 🤑💰
Great questions and clip... Trust and believe the powers that be at every level still don't want us black/brown people to do well. That's why we have to be assertive and stand together.
No Limit Cash Money rap-a-lot records all those labels made me proud to be from the south. It's a certain grit grind and hustle that come from your spirit and your soul when you from under that Mason-Dixon Line you got to be from this side to understand it
Much love for Mr. Serv-On. I’m glad the south rose in power in music. The first southern group I heard was Geto Boys and 2 Live Crew and DJ Jimi. That DJ Jimi song to me was a twerk song me and my girls got down on.
I just recently came across this channel a few months ago and I love that the host obviously does his research before interviews. We need more radio DJs and bloggers to do this because it’s so much more than a provocative headline, it’s about documenting our Hip Hop and R&B history.
The respect that all of the No Limit Soldiers show for the Colonel P is a testament to the type of man he is. Much respect to the Miller Family and all the Soldiers and Tank Dogs!
Shout out to Uncle Luke, who barked The Supreme Court over the right to use explicit lyrics in music... And WON! which is why you had those Parental Advisory stickers on albums back in the day.
The Soul Seekers love you Mr.Serv on its so nice to hear this interview! RIP Soula Slim we miss you so much there will only be 1 Soulja Slim to me he was my favorite of all time
He’s saying No Limit was one of the greatest to ever do it before Cash Money & That we will never see another No Limit like Master P’s no Limit, learn to comprehend
OH MY GOD!!! COREY (MR. SERV-ON)!!! Let me tell you, I was OBSESSED w/ _No Limit Records._ I pretty much bought and collected everything _No Limit_ except for vinyl. Nah, I always say that yo' debut LP entitled, _Life Insurance_ was a huge missed opportunity. I loved that LP so much, Corey. My favorite ended up being _Hustlin'._ Mac's _Shell Shocked_ LP was another missed opportunity. Anyway, I agree, I've been saying that no matter what _No Limit_ did as far as numbers and accolades, it wasn't good enough (says the East Coast). See, we loved y'all out here on the West Coast, Corey. I go back as far as going to different record stores tryna find Silkk the Shocker's _The Shocker_ CD because it was so rare and independent. And when I did find it, the plastic was all tattered up. Here's the thing, y'all weren't lyrical enough and y'all were from the South. It's really that simple. If Puff Daddy's _No Way Out_ LP can get respect then Master P's _Ghetto D_ should get respect as well. They were both successful LPs during the time. It's the regional disconnect that makes the East Coast shy away. East Coast brothas were so cute to where they'd go to different record labels and demand $10 million dollars upfront (that's obviously an exaggeration). Southern brothas were more DIY and that's because they had no choice. If this region don't wanna fuck w/ us then let's just DIY and keep it movin'. Nah, when you speak on the Bay Area, Corey, it's just wack. It used to be poppin' 20 years ago or so, but right here, right now - wack as fuck. We used to stay crankin' out hits. This is the unspoken word, but once Mexicans started to 'rap,' it just became wack. Nobody says that out loud, but I obviously don't really give a fuck because it's the truth. E-40 and Too $hort will tell you the same thing (off camera - of course).🤐 Anyway, I wish I could go back to "No Limit Tuesdays." That was always an event for me. I'd buy one of y'all CDs and then I'd have a few coins left over for a CD single. I'm thinking Maxwell's _Fortunate._
We don't Criticize the art anymore, We as blk folk are quick to cheer the success of others for fear of hating so much so that we have almost completely eliminated critique from the conversation. This has helped lead hip hop to its lowest plateau. (My comment came from when Young Thug was Mentioned)
Dude WTF are you babbling about? That part had nothing to do with critiquing music. He was referring to Young Thug investing in himself. Acquiring 100 acres of land to build a city. You're way too focused on the wrong thing. Your insecurity shows 🤔
@@hilltop565 Firstly My comment comes specifically from when he said despite "what you may think about Young Thug" which is a statement used usually to bypass critique of any aspect. Why my comment bothers you so much? Its ok YOU like Young Thug. But my comment bout the absence of critique in hip hop could only be viewed as my "insecurity shows" by a person with either a low i.q. or a very low reading comprehension level. Which are you?
@@abstractrealitytim9672 despite "what you may think about Young Thug" which could be his music, physical appearance or whatever but the fact remains he doesn't give a shit about none of that because he salutes him for making investment moves. You should learn how to comprehend better instead of focusing on negative energy
@@hilltop565 You woke up this morning Acting like the energy regulator or something huh??? You can't tell me what to think or what to focus on. My comment is my comment. You really need that comprehension class.
DJ Magic Mike was the coldest DJ with the scratches long before the DMC competitions and all that! Plus them 808's used to shake whole neighborhoods if your system was banging!
10:12 Sorry Mr. Serv-On but it’s 16 states in the south. Florida, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware.
@C.R. the RUNDWN Champion Missouri was part of the south but switched to the Union. As far as Delaware and Maryland they’re below the mason dixon line. I been there and they got some strong country accent too like my aunt.
@C.R. the RUNDWN Champion oh wow. I also lived in florida and when I visit Louisiana to see family even they say half of florida from Orlando to Jacksonville is southern, and that half of Maryland and Washington DC is southern 😂. I have a friend who is country as hell. She’s a white Brazilian too but lived in Delaware and Maryland most of her life. Her husband is black American and when she says do, dog, grass, 2 it’s so country and funny. But he also speaks Portuguese so they speak it with a country accent too. I forget about New Hampshire and Rhode Island being states too 😂
@Papa Yêvêh ummm no. Look it up. Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and indiana are Midwest states. It’s too fucking easy to look this shit up dude. Stop wasting my time 😊
