Wow I got something out in 2024 I never thought the day would come xP Quick clarification to those new here: This is not a real game nor is it my "wishlist" for Smash Bros. It's an edited and animated hypothetical series based off Smash Bros, exploring how characters that will never get into Smash would actually function if they were a fighter.
i have a suggestion for the next character: the noise (form pizza tower)! here's a couple ideas for the moveset. neutral b: bomb kick. noise kicks a bomb in the direction he is facing. the bomb will bounce forwards twice after being launched and will then explode. side b: mort. noise throws mort like a boomerang. mort will lock on to the enemy closest to noise. if no one is close enough to noise, mort will go back to the noise shortly after being thrown. Up b: noise crusher. noise pulls out his pizza crusher and launches upwards. after about a second, he will slam down onto the ground, burying anyone close to where he lands. (Basically, dedede's recovery, but you can't cancel it.) Down b: taunt. noise will perform a taunt, and if anyone attacks him while in the taunt, the damage will be reflected back at the attacker. Final smash: mega bomb. noise will pull out a gigantic bomb, and then after a few seconds, throws the bomb, causing massive explosive damage. this attack will kill very early.
It looks very confusing to me, it looks more like a gameplay, it may be better that you make a game for steam and even better if samsonite would be in the same
AIM YOUR ZABBER GUN get it cause zab Anyway this moveset was essentially winning Zab over easy mode considering the fact I've made an entire ARG with Mr. Sys as the villain. And my god you did him justice. Giving him a Power Glove was a genius move and having him equip all of the NES Accessories to use was fantastic. But the best part to me was the animation. Giving Mr. Sys rayman limbs was a great touch and I love how he and the others go wireframe as Early CG Models did. The custom assets are great and the animation is stellar. Amazing job, Lux, BUT YOU CANNOT BEAT US
Man, this was really impressive, not the character I expected at all. I don't know how you do it but somehow you consistently take wonky characters and make them animate really smoothly!
Good lord, what a comeback and a half after a year long gap between movesets. I didn't think anything could top Fliqpy in Dreams but I am once again proven wrong! This is probably the most creative and ambitious set I've seen in a very long time. I always love it when people create a character revolved around a very niche piece of media that people could never see working due to the lack of proper sources to work with. Mr SyS here takes the cake for those types of characters, because not only did you go out of your way to recreate the models by hand, but you also incorporated a baller full body design for him, well fit for a platform fighter. We've gotten a lot of movesets this week, but I just had to leave a comment on this one in particular, outstanding job Star!!!
Innovation: that's what comes to my mind when matching this moveset. I absolutely adore and admire how innovative it feels, which fits in a way given who's the star here. It's always so exciting to see a new video for Lawl Dreams, and this more than excels at being hype. I know you already have experience animating, but its still mind bogglingly just how clean and well polished Mr Sys's moves and is sprited here. From crucial parts of his kit like teleporting in assists, to smaller moments such as that lean backward in his Side Taunt. It could've been so easy to have made it just the characters head and torso bouncing or floating around, but just the extra effort to create a body,,, well most of a body all the essential parts are there lol. For reals though that extra effort is deeply appreciated and just makes the moveset all the more fun. The moveset itself is really, really great. Like it truly has that vibe of retro, aggressive advertising from the era Mr Sys was created in as well as the commercial itself. Cause well, these characters from this retro console will come out and beat the crap out of you. The way they're teleported in and out and the vast array of ways they attack gosh its so rad. Uhh, yeah I think King Koopa would be my main assist. Love the way he packs a punch and I love that pseudo pixely design a ton. Everything else feels on point and perfect too. From him having the NES Zapper (the B Reverse bit was so good pffft), to his recovery move and ROB, this really is just NES: The Moveset. Everything else about this moveset from Nano's updated idle and other characters standards were so well made too. It really sucks that motivation can be so fleeting, but whenever it arises like one of your projects it can shine so brightly. Thank you so much for this insanely fun moveset, and thanks to everyone who helped make it happen too. Cannot wait for the next exciting project of yours but its completely understandable its unclear when it'll happen or be started on. uhhhhh, no thank you for the ending bit though that was way too goofy! Wait how did I, the girl who is ALWAYS LATE to these things somehow end up being the first viewer according to RU-vid? Full review underneath the read more, keeping it like this for spoiler reasons. Anyways Mr. Sys is a pleasant surprise, and the fact that this is ALL custom assets really makes this set shine. From how each of the creepy 3D sprites help out in their own ways, and I love how the dog uses the Super Scope because it works better for a sniper! It's liberties like that I love about your sets. The willingness to use some creative liberties if it works better for the set itself. The zapper was implemented well, and I like how Lakitu was made the recovery. It fits. Then there's my personally favorite move ROB! I love how you implemented him! Shooting out Gyromites and using his nature as a toy to make him a trap, fitting into the tricky playstyle. And final smash was neat too. Overall I loved this set, and I like the more diy stuff in general, which fits surprisingly well with the general animation of the set it's great! Will give two suggestions though: 1.) Make the health bar match Mega Man's. That's the only real health bar I can think of on the NES so it would be a fitting reference. 2.) Make the second ROB match the Japanese version for the sake of readability, since there's 2 ROBs. Alternatively give |ROB recolors too. Either way this set was fantastic and a pleasant surprise so I'm glad you're back! Good luck with your mental health too, I know from experience how rough of a battle it can be keeping a good mental state so good luck on the good fight! I can't wait to see what comes your way next and here's hoping your fortunes improve in the future. Peace!
This moveset is simply amazing. While Lawl Dreams has enormous animation quality and already had its fair share of characters who are extremely hard to animate, this character still impresses on how well it is animated. The lack of limbs was a weird choice that worked out like wonders, and it even helped make some animations more expressive and with more personality (like the B-reversed Side B). Small details like the way he clicks the Power Glove when scrolling through the mascots or the Duck Hunt Dog having a Super Scope show the effort you had to contextualize every action into something that represents the character. The way the mascots are integrated not only in the moves but also in the taunts and victory options is also top notch. You really used everything that you could from a really short commercial and implemented it perfectly. The mascots act like a perfect blend of their bizarre commercial versions and their original NES counterparts and the Zapper is used in a accurate way to how it works instead of just being a generic projectile. A moveset this well crafted is always worth the long wait.
What an amazing moveset to wake up to, and one that kept surprising me as it went on. Originally I believed that, because this guy only appeared in one commercial, he was going to be based on that FNF mod that made him so popular, so I'm really amazed at the fact that it's solely based on the commercial and the peripherals themselves! I seriously can't believe how greatly animated this set is, for real. The models are spot on to the original commercial and the animations are great to boot. I also like the idea of giving the guy floating limbs and the Power Glove as one of his hands, it's really clever. It also helps that the set itself seems to be incredibly fun and it's got some pretty unique properties. The ROB trap for example seems like a really fun thing to play around with (specially if it gets shot), and I love the variety between the three members of the Unbeatable crew. A truly scary moveset if you know what you're doing. It's fine if you take your time with these sets because seriously, every time someone new joins Lawl Dreams, it's an absolute treat!
i'm just really glad that one song doesn't appear in there at all (expect maybe the victory theme i haven't checked), not that it's bad but it really does show that there's just a LITTLE bit more care in representing him outside of that absolutely LOVED this moveset! it does a really good job making a character who's pretty understandable to use, but very complex to master! especially with the assists, where you can't just run around carelessly or else they won't be able to catch up! other things like committing to the zapper, being careful when recovering, or deciding between a useful trap and quick damage, comes together to make a truly nintendo hard character that really pays off when you're literally untouchable! also the design is really nice, the power glove and zapper just really nice touches to nintendo's other ads and such. can tell a lot of that was modeled and animated originally, awesome work! presentation and animation were top notch as usual, all the normals shown off were really well crafted! especially flippy turning my face into hamburgers all in all, i like the intro where flippy loses it when mr sys pulls a fake gun on him that was funny
it's fire, don't have more to say lol, love the custom sprites, gotta love seeing lawlers use their artistic attributes to create characters or recreate styles from scratch.
Damn this was a really good set!! Def one of the best sets from this year so far! I really appreciate how this moveset was mainly inspired by the original commercial as opposed to being based on the FNF mod, and the attempt at giving him a full body looks super smooth! I like how his assistant work, and great job with their 3D Models too. Honestly I am still so surprised you were able to represent it so well, and the nod to the lesser known sequel commercial with their KO sounds. Honestly the presentation for Lawl Dreams is always great and in this one it was even better, the specials were all unique in their own way and I really love how unique the Side Special is, really makes Sys out to be a formidable foe. Only complaint if any I have is that the final smash is a bit too blink and you miss it levels of fast, but the animation for FS too was really great. His victories also ooze ton of personality, and I like the audio editing with the music from the original commercial removed for their taunts, making them sound super clear.
Well this is my new favorite Lawl Dreams moveset, I'm impressed with how this turned out! The "You Cannot Beat Us" commercial has been fascinating to me thanks to its early CG aesthetic (and this was done long before things like Toy Story and VeggieTales were made), and even long before it recently resurfaced in popularity I've always been interested by it. Mr. SyS was unexpected but he plays amazingly, really selling on the "unbeatable" aspect the commercial gave to viewers in regards to NES games. I really like all the animations, particularly with the partners of Mr. SyS, they all look like they came directly from the commercial, and I like how each of those partners is focused on a particular aspect of the NES' launch (Smick is focused on R.O.B.'s games, Duck Hunt Dog on the NES Zapper games, and take a wild guess as to what King Koopa focuses on). I also like how the Side B and Down B directly implement the peripherals into Mr. SyS' moveset, and that Mr. SyS has a power glove at all times (which is very fitting for him). It was also nice seeing the Lakitu in there for the Up B, and the FS was short but sweet. Overall, I'm really impressed by how this turned out, especially since everything was taken from one commercial, and Mr. SyS has become my favorite fighter in Lawl Dreams, it'll be tough to beat that placement!
Honestly, it was a matter of time before someone made him. But out of all people, none had expected the relatively lighthearted Dreams to take up the challenge. Lucky to you, this moveset is certainly worth 1,000,000 pts! My favorite thing out this moveset aside from the minimal reference to _Mario Madness_ is that it's animated using what's most likely Roblox model, which surprisingly enough fits the original eerie yet charming crappy 3D aesthetic that the commerical had, coupled by the fact your design only includes what's necessary for him in a fighting game than an outright full body really adds to it. (especially the cheesy friggin' Power Glove lol) Another thing of note is that everything is taken from about one or two lines from the OG ad bundled with its game of origin, making a moveset that's looks boastful, but unfair to *both* Mr. Sys' own player and the opponent if they're caught in a bad spot. As difficult as the NES games were, there's a set pattern that's exploitable, which I find interesting that you manage to find a way to represent it by making his attacks hit like a truck and auto-target on the opponent while being just as slow as one. I recall when we were discussing a potential Mr. Sys set on the Aureus server, a couple of us kind of agree that down B has to be the "Robot Partner", but instead of Smick that we were talking about, it's amusing that you literally throw out ROBs instead. Doubled with the Power Glove, it gives the impression that Mr. Sys is trying to promote the products all while kicking your ass. I like it. The fact that the Gyros serves as a projectile that you can shoot to pop up feels like it would be a really hype tournament moment for a Mr. Sys player to lead it into a finishing combo from a small Gyro. All and all, this moveset is as _unbeatable_ as usual coming from you.👍 But don't worry Lux, no matter what you do next, we'll always support you. As a wise man said, *"You cannot **-beat us-** rush art."*
I never thought I see the light of day for him At first, I was skeptical of Mr. Sys being a fighter from looking through a few considered tier list and felt like he's more of a boss. But after his Moveset throws all of them away and became my favourite moveset. With it's amazing designed model giving me Rayman vibes combined with the NES zapper Gun and Power Glove. Even his NES gang and robot partner in their specials were the cherry on top. You did an amazing job on his moveset Star

Mr. SyS and his henchmens is basically like DDLC's Monika and his three girls, but from Nintendo. Somebody should make a Mr. Sys mod for Project M or Ultimate S with custom moveset based from this video.

At long last, Dreams returns once again, with a character I’m sure most people never saw coming. Mr. Sys was a character I know would be tacked eventually given his boost in popularity, and you really did him and the rest of the Unbeatable Gang justice. His playstyle is simple but fitting, basing it on the Nintendo Hard of the NES era as well as the boasts he made in the commercial. Speaking of which, it’s amazing how much you based off of one commercial, from having all his buddies fill their roles, to using an NES Zapper and a ROB. The custom model you used for him not only works for Mr. Sys. creepy nature, but is greatly animated too. To summarize you made a moveset that is truly Unbeatable. Take as much time off as you need to get things together, and we’ll patently for whatever project comes next. (Ps, Flippy’s Smash Attack is truly top tier)

Pretty cool set, liked the original sprites made like and under minute source, and grabbing stuff from that limited source than fan stuff- especially like the use of the zapper and it’s great to see Dream again- Also is that Nano new default or is it an alt? Great as always tho

This might just be my favorite moveset from you hands down! The creativity on display here is amazing! I’m not well affiliated with the creepy “WE ARE NINTENDO” advertisement many seem to remember, but Mr. Sys is just so well designed! You took a character that only exists in a 30 second commercial, and somehow managed to give them an incredibly well written full moveset. It’s incredible! I absolutely love the custom spriting on him and his companions, you did a really great job on it, and speaking of, they all fill their roles based on their original gameplay/roles really really well, and the swapping out mechanic is both balanced and really fun and useful to play. I also like the way the Zapper is designed, being a very strong ranged option that sets enemies up for some really interesting combos with a couple of drawbacks to prevent anything cheap, and the Up Special and Down Special, while simple, both fill their roles very well and have some great strengths and weaknesses. The Final Smash was also really fun to see, and the Ko’s taunts and victories all utilize the only lines the characters get in the commercial fantastically. Overall I’m glad to see Lawl Dreams still having a lot of great stuff to offer, and I wish you luck on whatever projects you decide to do. Great job Lux! 👍🏿
