Years ago when I learned The Byrds version I played in E (no capo). I found the intro/outro riff so easy that way. Many years later and so very old, I can no longer sing along in E! This song and tutorial is so great, learners should dig out the full lyrics and make it a longer song when playing it :)

Key of D starting on the IV chord... Interesting.. at least that's what the sheet music says. I never paid much attention to this tune before.... I'm thinking I would switch out the G for Em on the word "ain't."
