I decided to show one of the best kebabs in Iran to Mark Wiens, so we went from Tabriz to the city of Bonab, the source of extremely delicious kebabs. Bonab is a city in East Azarbaijan which is located almost in the north west of Iran and it takes 2 hours from Tabriz to get there. We entered the Bonab Bazaar and went to the meat section of the Bazaar. The very interesting thing about the Bonab meat Bazaar is that you can buy fresh meat and then take it to one of the Kebab restaurants in the market so that they can make fresh kebabs for you. This is one of the only places in Iran where they mince meat with a sword. They mince it with onions with spices and then make kebabs. The kebabs were served fresh and with grilled tomatoes and peppers, and I have to say that, even Mark said, it was one of the tastiest and most delicious kebabs he had ever eaten, and the kebab has an exceptional texture.
