@@makaveli201071 I agree. Could explain one reason a lot of people have commitment issues. They don't know what love looks like because it's always hidden from them.
Mr Turner learning how to parent Shawn and become his dad throughout all the hardships they faced over time will always brings tears to my eyes. It’s how Mr Turner became the dad Shawn truly needed that melts my heart, the exact same way Shawn became Mr Turner’s first child and son. Their bond will forever stay this way. They prove that family doesn’t have to be blood to be family, this scene means so much to me. Mr Turner was terrified of loosing his Shawn, both physically and mentally, it really shows. Bless them.
Spoken like a true father. "Got three and I'm still not ready to be a parent". You cannot tell me that every responsible and sensible parent out there feels the same way. Hell I'm damn near 30 and I'm still not ready to be a parent by ANY stretch of the imagination.
“Hell I’m damn near 30 and I’m still not ready to be a parent.”. Same. Although you should realize that that’s still very common at our age. Unless you live in a small town where everyone settles down and gets married and has kids by 21. But yeah if you’re in your late 20s/early 30s it’s not unusual not to have kids or to not be ready. Personally I never want kids but that’s a whole other story.
@@obvioushieidude7668 I don't blame you for not wanting kids. They are not like some kind of pet that you can leave alone for hours at a time. They need your constant attention.
I feel like Mr Turner right now… took my niece in… and it’s like hey kid I want you to know I’ll make mistakes.. I never was a parent… but when it comes to looking out for you… I’ll do the best I can go protect youb
@@franksejas5894 And just like every single parent out there, you are going to make mistakes. But I have a feeling that you are going to learn from your mistakes and be the best thing for your niece.
@@gerstein03 He got worse as the show went on though. I think the writers should've given Eric a learning disability. We're all just supposed to assume he was lazy.
Alternatively, he got the babysitter to curl his brother's originally straight hair and it never went back. That's what I liked about this show: they played fast and loose with the continuity for the sake of the funny and the lessons.
Yeah! I thought I was the only one who recognized that!! I was like, Eric, I thought you and Cory originally had straight hair, then I recognized that maybe Eric was the one with the more wavy hair and he was just using Cory as an example when he says "If it wasn't for that ride in the dryer, my hair would still look like..Cory's"
Yah showing , yes we are devoted parents but hey, we are still people. More well rounded and realistic. Plus it shows how hard it is for parents to get alone time in a house full of kids. And even neighborhood kids😂
Alan and Jonathan had a great camaraderie they learned from each other I know the focus was always on Cory Shawn and Topanga but I felt the adults not just mr Feeny needed more room to grow. Jonathan’s character development needed commitment. They should’ve given him that till they graduated high school.
Andy Duarte u are so right. I mean they showed him from their 7th grade year to 11th grade. They only had one more year until college. I always say they could have had him be a main character till they graduated high school. And then been a recurring character after. Mr turner is my favorite adult character on the show. And while I do like Mr. Feeny, Mr turner was my favorite teacher. I hated that after appearing in season 2 to 4 they wrote him out. Mr turner is one of the reasons that season 2, 3, and 4 are my favorites. And I always say that mr turner leaving was the worst mistaken, and putting Rachel on was the worst. I’m just so glad they put him in gmw.
@@randallreiter9679 Rachel was literally the most pointless character ever. In fact, I'd go even further and say that they shouldn't have added Jack or Angela either. They added nothing of value to the show.
I like to think that it was implied to be beer.I'm in my early 30s and I've had friends come over all the time for much needed heart to hearts.Never once has a bud come over at 1:30am to have an ice cold Pepsi 😂
I just listened to the episode of Pod Meets World they recently released- they interviewed Anthony Tyler Quinn (actor who played Mr.Turner) and I was shocked to find out he was let go after two seasons. I had always assumed he quit. He was such a great character and pivotal in Sean's life, and they make him vanish. Such a bad call.
I always liked that the father was never perfect, he made mistakes too. I wish the mother messed up a bit more but as far as parents go this is a great representation
@@thelevisullivan I know and i was enjoying to see him, but i'm talking about moments in BMW, when Shawn really needed help and support and Mr. Turner just wasn't there, cause actor was busy with another project😓 Cory was the only one who never actually left him
@@user-uz8nb7ej8r Mr Turner loved Shawn with his whole heart okay and he always will, he didn’t have to be in the same room as Shawn to prove that. Their father and son relationship will always be there, wherever they are! Mr Turner is the one person in Shawn’s life who helped him become a better person. He’d never leave him. Just because Mr Turner wasn’t on the show after season 4, that doesn’t mean he “wasn’t there for Shawn”, you have to think of it in a way where their love and support for each other is always present no matter where they are. After all, they are family. “Friends.” “The best.” “Always.” - The day Shawn moved out.
You know, maybe it's because I'm in my 40s now, as Betsy Randle was at this time, but goddamn she was a fox. Of course, since I was close to the same age as the kids at the time, I had a crush on Topanga at the time, like every other kid.
I guess that makes sense. In the first season, which aired in 1993, Eric says he's 15, which means he was born in 1978 if you do the math. Since this is season 3, which started in 1995, Eric should be 17 in this episode. This would mean Alan lost him in 1982 when Eric was 4.
@@jaws3772 Thank you. Another Eric Matthews birthday catch is that in his "one man show" he said he was born in June, but when he turned 18 it was during his time at his TV internship weatherman gig in a blizzard.
Idk if anyone of y'all ever notice. But almost every time theres a Cola can or an apple juice in the shot.... they never end up taking a drink from it. I think I might have saw Cory take a fake sip from an apple juice before. But you can see where the budget cuts took effect. lol.
Okay so I did some research, and the average time for the Colossus (which was a real roller coaster at Magic Mountain) was 2 and a half minutes. If my math is right, that means Eric rode that roller coaster *_144 times._*
Shawn’s mom left, then his dad left and that’s when Mr Turner (his teacher) stepped into Shawn’s life and became the real dad he truly needed. Their special bond taught us how family doesn’t have to be blood to be family.
