A nicely presented history lesson on compact cameras Mr. Woo. I've owned all these apart from the Olympus RC . My favourite 1/2 frame Olympus however was the all manual Pen S which had the f2.8 lens but I found it expensive on prints so I would load it with Fujichrome slide film. I also used Kodakchrome 25 & 64 but these unlike the Fujichrome would be sent back unmounted. The Kodak mounts were cardboard and fiddly to use. Fujichrome were always mounted in nice, strong plastic mounts and their service was almost by return post. Happier days ! I still have the Pen S somewhere but it no longer works.
The half frame cameras are great for taking a tryptych. Another artistic outlet. In those days film was available in 12 and 24 frame roles. The trip was a great camera, but sells for a relatively high price. Another great one, Mr. WOO! And thanks, John for these videos.
Wow, the osmo did great! Loved the glimpse into the world of the trip series, I sold mine a couple weeks back in the hopes of finding the rc version with manual exposure, it'll be great for taking on hikes!
