The leaf shutter is what makes it useful.

A great looking digital camera with some superb 35mm film simulations to try and get the best of two worlds.

Fuji made this all very confusing, naming wise, from the start. The original X100 was fine, but then they used "S" for Second, and "T" for Third, then "F" for Forth, but then pivoted to "V" for Fifth (because you can't use "F" again), and now VI for Sixth (again... because you can't use "S" again). Perhaps they never thought they would get this far in the series... certainly not it's off the charts popularity, which seems overly inflated to me. I had the earlier cameras and did enjoy them back in the day. Enjoying this video series too. Cheers.

When he mentioned Minolta, any plans for upcoming videos to talk about them?

Too bad Fuji chose China instead of Thailand, Indonesia or Malaysia.

China has a mature electronics supply chain and manufacturing sector. Smart business decision on Fuji's part. Maybe Thailand will be ready for the X100VII. Fuji's decision to make a special edition that underscores a date square in the middle of the grater east asia co-prosperity sphere is an interesting one to say the least.
