Feel free to ignore this, I just like talking about the game. It looked like they were trying to speed run you. Your low level will make that a common occurrence, that and the fact that it can be a fairly strong strategy. When survivors do that, it's more important than ever to know your timing. There's a certain amount of time any mastermind needs to get a defense up and running. For creatures it's basically whatever their get up speed is. You'll have to do some estimations based on how quickly they move and how long it takes before a creature you spawn becomes fully mobile and ready to attack. Ideally your zombies that you spawn should be standing up as they start to work on your door so the noise they make will get them aggressive. Your specific mastermind can have a big effect on your timing and defense. Daniel in particular gets some good direct control buffs. Most people like rend for the damage since endurance is negated by a few different things including the kashima (electric stun knife) and that can be bought as early as area 1, but I do still like endurance. Invincible Daniel highlights his direct control power and his ability to set up cheap effective defenses. For a short time whatever zombie you directly control will be totally invincible to everything. This makes presets with a single zombie behind a locked door enough to deal some damage. You could even have some detonator zombies behind every door and blow them up as they try and break them down however most survivors are experienced enough to pick up on these sorts of things and may decide to back off opening a door if they know you hopped in a zombie from the audio cue to run out the clock on your Invincible effect but you can always open the door yourself and go on the attack. The thing you have to be careful about with Daniel is not spamming too much. He definitely can spam zombies like crazy with the right build but he's generally better played as a time waster. Spawning just a single zombie and controlling it to play some door games and get damage off more reliably than relying on bad zombie AI. If interested in the spam version of Daniel all you need is the ivy mod and the equilibrium mod for his area 3 card. This combo in hand maxes out bioregen speed without the need for anything else like biospeed equipment or any other biorecharge mod. Just don't spend the ivy mod even if it ticks down to 1 cost if you want to keep your energy speed maxed. The other easy way to spam with Dan is using creature efficiency mod and the shuffle mod with his area 2 overclock card that gives energy but freezes your biorecharge speed. As you might have guessed very different way to achieve the same goal and it does have some significant risk. The thing is the overclock card can freeze your energy for as long as you are able to keep playing it and if you happen to get bad rng on your cards you may run out of energy before you can use it to get more and then you are stuck waiting for your energy to come back online to be able to do much. So bio energy tank equipment is really good for keeping you in the fight and the shuffle mod helps you get your area 2 card more often. The pro of using this strat though is it's effective by area 2 instead of 3 which does give you a big advantage. One other tip with this one is you want to have more zombies ,or whatever you choose to use to win your games, than anything else. Seems simple but when you have so much energy it might make you want to use other cards but occasionally the rng of the shuffle won't give you what you want all that often and it could slow you down.

@@death_reaper1213 Haha you really don't, but honestly your area 1 wasn't all that bad. Downtown is just not very good for masterminds since survivors should rarely if ever have to double back to find all the keys and reach the exit. One thing I'll leave off on is if survivors toss a grenade while you're using Mr.X you can almost always be sure it's a flashbang. It pays sometimes to use his rampart ability to protect against flashes and Martin's ultimate. A lot of times I'll drop Mr X on a Martin and just rampart right away if I know he has his ult.

@unclecuddles5232 Yes downtown area 1 has to be the worst for masterminds. Also yeah I should definitely try using rampart more I just forget it's there 😂😂

I get it man sometimes you just wanna start swingin lol. The one thing I like about downtown area 1 is since it is basically a straight line switching cams with L1 and R1 is pretty simple and quick without teleporting to some other part of the map like with the other bigger ones. It's got some good sight lines for guns too.
