My opinion on the whole smartwatch situation is that more influencers need to give Chinese brands a break, not only microbrands. Microbrands already are saving something for PR, but it's choking lots of new kids watching ads left and right for the Moonswatch, for example, and when they get to buy one it feels worthless compared to their Apple Watch... New generation kids aren't dumb, some maybe, but in general there are a lot of really smart kids just with too little information. I think influencers should break the barriers of what consists of a microbrand or homage or Swiss made or whatnot and focus on the fact that we're fighting against a huge "common enemy" in smartwatches. Someone who drops $50 on an automatic stainless steel Pagani is way more likely to stick with watches in the long run than someone who pays $400 for a plastic Swatch.
@@CoolWatchesOnly I think i agree with you but the Chinese brands needs to start coming up with their own designs which will appeal to a alot of people in the watch community. San martin are already coming up with their own design. I agree about moon swatch, they r crap
If the trend continues, watches might end up like cameras and camcorders replaced by smartphones. Some reviews favor high-end brands like Rolex that most people can't afford, while dismissing non-Swiss or lesser-known brands. It's as if anything other than Casio, Seiko, or Orient is frowned upon, despite brands like San Martin and Chronos offering great quality and even original designs lately, at super competitive prices, yet still facing snobbery.

Dane is a fantastic guy with an incredible knowledge about watches and all things Zelos. I've talked to him many times and while I've kind of gotten out of the watch community due to my work schedule, he is someone I still very much respect and as you see, has an incredible collection.
