Nice! This came out just the right time. I just got a 320mm Momo Monte Carlo with same nrg hub and qr as well. I thought my 320mm was quite small already. 300mm must make it feel even more go-karty lol
Fellow Spyder Owners - If you want to retain your horn and cancel airbag indicator without modification, the only hub that will do it is the WORKS BELL SPLASH. It's not cheap but it's 100% reversible without cutting. If your car is a pure track car like Togue Time's, then save the extra $170 and modify the horn.
I love the stock steering wheel, when mine wears out I'll try and find a good oem replacement. I mean airbag and a great looking steering wheel, can't beat it. Plus my MWR cruise control buttons need a place to live. I only weekend and track my car but I'll be keeping the steering wheel and airbag long after the body is caged and interior stripped. That's a good looking steering wheel it's just my preference that the stocker is the perfect steering wheel. Soon there will be no stock body panels, already replaced the engine and drivetrain, but one day there will be nothing stock on my car but the frame, the floor pans, the dash....and the steering wheel lol.
I understand why you wanted to change it, I also find the stock wheel a bit too wide. I'd also like a dished wheel (if that's what you call it) to bring it closer to me. I just wish you could get aftermarket units with airbags. I feel very uneasy about that.
wheel looks dope! and i get what you are saying with the whole climbing in and out i had the same issue when we temp installed my NRG bucket seat with the stock wheel, felt like i was going to snap my damn knee getting into the seat lol.
you should look into getting a new agm battery and upgrade to zero gauge wire for the alternator to battery like car audio guys do. Those combined help charger quicker compared to lead flooded batteries so there is more hp freed up. I noticed a difference at red lights the brake lights are like a 10a draw so when pulling away the alternator is robbing power but after that upgrade on my mr2 i dont notice it.

I just acquired a k24 swapped ‘05 spyder from my younger brother in great shape. I’m trying to learn as much I can from this platform as I am a BMW enthusiast. This car is scary though, definitely a keeper! Any thoughts on the airbag light. Thanks.

how far does the steering wheel go from the wiper switch? I am always hitting it with my hand in autox.. you think with the quick release add more space between the wheel and the wiper switch?
