Yeah, y’all are forgetting how he started: committing himself to ridiculously difficult challenges. The way Mr. Beast understands capturing people’s attention and producing content is pretty unique. He actually comprehends how people with intake and interact with his content. Every second, every promo, ever decision is engineered. It’s actually super impressive.
Right I think the value of Jimmy's brain is harder to understand since we're all used to seeing his antics for years at this point. People who have been watching RU-vid now understand his formula and execution because they've been exposed to it for so long but in a world without it I don't think many people would be able to capture the same success he has
Personally I just feel like he's slowly starting to run out of ideas... I know he's said on podcasts before that he has thousands of ideas but how many of them are actually good yk? Like this video just gives me the same energy as 2 middle schoolers talking to each other but they had the money.
i feel like something mrbeast does that always gets us back and wanting more is he never fully shows something, he puts so much detail into a build or idea, he'll show it for a few minutes blow it up and rush to the next thing, he could have easily showed slow-mo, different angles, multiple times and easily had made the video 5x as long, but its quick and rushed in the perfect blend and always just makes me want to see him do it again.
Yeah he RU-vid formats insanely dense cool content. Any other RU-vidr would've shown the entire process of filling the house with fireworks. It would be like 30 minutes intro to them explaining how they put them etc where they got them. (I was mid typing this and Ludwig said basically the same thing ffs lol)
I went into this thinking that it was gonna be Lud saying "NO WAY THAT TRAIN JUST FELL IN THAT PIT, DUDE!" but this is a genuinely good reaction video.
I think the problem with the "resources vs. brains" debate is even if you had all of Mr. Beast's production skills and mind it'd be really hard to get anything done, especially on this scale
@@rectov9003 Well, that's arguable too though, he only got mainstream viral after spending tons of production for a video. He got somewhat viral by his counting up video, but the next videos after that that truly got him viral are all connected to him spending stupid amounts of money. It's undeniable to say money didn't factor in. Money isn't the ONLY thing you need, especially if you're out of touch on the internet like most millionaires who try youtube are, but it's a thing that helps out a lot and is definitely more of a factor than the personality. The personality just makes things happen, but the money allows it to happen. Both are needed (for reliable and consistent instant* success, which is the premise), and personality is easier to adjust than becoming a millionaire in a month's time.
the youtube platform has changed giving away 10 grand is not the same as doing that same concept 10 years ago not to mention alot of mr beasts start was doing stuff like saying pewdiepie 10 thousand time and peoples attention spans are so low now the viewer retention would not be good at all because of mr beast you need the money for the videos because tiktok and jimmy have literally destroyed peoples attention spans now@@rectov9003
You can't say the video was bad when you get to see a building explode, a tank drag 2 buses into an enormous hole, and a jet car jump 10 buses before demolishing all before the 5 minute mark.
I know some ppl gonna say I’m a karen, but I’m kinda concerned how much pollution and waste of materials the video caused. And I’m also kinda concerned if it is ok for the crew to be inhaling so much dust and gas released from the explosions😅 (I do hope they have someone who monitors their safety) I know I’m also causing pollution, but that seemed a little unnecessary. And just because he does spend his money on helping others doesn’t make it ok to cause pollution and waste for fun…
@@araciaearthOK thank you!! I feel like such a downer I can't enjoy this video cause I'm just sitting here watching like ,,, so much pollution,,, so much waste for waste's sake. its not even old broken down stuff idk man feels wierd
@@araciaearthYou aren’t a Karen, just someone with common sense. This, while "cool" was an absurd waste of money and resources and is genuinely a source of pollution. I hate it, and while he can be good on some fronts this wasn’t okay. It also seemed INCREDIBLY UNSAFE for the crew honestly, if they do have a safety coordinator they need to be fired and replaced
@@FlowerPower0442 I hope they don’t have to make a video in the far future recapping every time they involve themselves in unhealthy situations when some of them get some disease from long term exposure to something 💀
It’s the branding, the planning, the management, the advertising, and everything else that makes him successful WITH his money. They are not independent, but complimentary.
I feel like people forget that MrBeast did not start with millions of dollars to produce videos. He started from the bottom just like everyone else, only he knew how to capture his audience and retain their attention, eventually growing his channel to the extent it is today.
MrBeast personally said that if he created a brand new channel with none of his previous resources and influence, he could reach 6 million subscribers in a month, and I 100% believe he could do that, maybe even more.
Mr beasts brain, but not bc sending a train into a hole is genius, but bc his passion leads him to make things possible in a reasonable amount of time is unrivaled on youtube.
@@TheWheatlessyou don’t get the nuances though. Watch a video of Mr beast explaining it all. He’s gaming the algorithm and reinvesting everything he makes.
@@TheWheatless I remember when he sat down and counted to 100,000. That took no money, and it landed him more views, opened more doors, and now he can afford bigger stunts. His money is a direct product of his determination.
I wish he'd show the crashes at full speed. I understand he has an insane knowledge of how to edit his final projects to perfection, but I wish we got the hyper edited version AND the full version
As important as the brain is, the money is even less important than the work ethic. His work ethic is the most important, then his brain, then the money is helpful for exponential growth but really only amplifies things.
For the argument in the beginning, i think that Ludwig doesn't quite understand how much luck you need to become, like actually successful on RU-vid. When he did the whole, making a channel anonymously, he came to the conclusion that it's primarily skill that is required to become successful, but like he used his own resources to get to that point, everything from using his money to hire a voice actor and to promote the channel. But the biggest thing that Ludwig never mentioned in that video was that the channel he made wouldn't have gotten anywhere had he not talked about it on the Yard, after which the channel popped off with like 10k+ searches and the algorithm then picked it up. I think it's more of a case of 'You need luck to become successful on RU-vid, but you need skill to stay successful'. Ludwig is obviously a pretty smart dude when it comes to the second part, but like he would not be where he is now if it wasn't for luck in various areas of his streaming and youtube career. Same with Mr. Beast, though to a MUCH more extreme case, i mean for goodness sake, the guy started off his channel by making fucking 'Counting to 100k and 1 million' type of videos, where he would sit in his room for hours, looking at the camera and just counting. He's honestly insanely lucky to have been picked up by the algorithm and that people thought his content was funny. What sets him apart from all the failures of youtube, is what he did with his newfound fame. He kept building his brand, one brick at a time, making interesting content that he was now able to afford, which he definitely would not have been able to afford had he not gotten incredibly lucky with youtube.
I think you said it quite right but quite wrong. Most people on RU-vid will be given an opportunity, a big one even, to be blessed by the algorithm and have a successful video/... (things that people call luck) but they can't succeed in their other videos. The evidence is this is that there are a lot of channels where only one video has around 1M views, while other videos have only 1-5k views. Why is this the case? It's because the skills/brain/knowledge of RU-vid are the things that you need to take advantage of that opportunity and eventually succeed. MrBeast has those skills while others don't so they don't succeed, it's simple. All successful people need luck, while not everyone who has luck is successful.
@@theokayishgamer Yeah, looking back on it, I don't know if I was on drugs while typing the comment or not. But I think our general ideas are the same with some different details. And that "most people" kind of thing is false, I'm stupid for saying that. I think I meant to say a lot of people, but my brain messed up. Anyways, have a good day and bye!
Dude working for a public safety agency - the thing I wonder about is how the hell he gets permits for these things. Even the permits for a burn tower training session - non flammable building, pallets of wood are burning to simulate a live fire environment - are a ton of paperwork. Burning an actual house is a ludicrous amount of red tape - I know the fire marshal on a personal basis and it would be almost impossible for me to get permission for any reason.
I think it's a real explosion at the end. There was a drone there approaching at the moment of explosion, probably to capture the explosion closely in detail.
yes, tnt is very difficult to detonate. dynamite, meanwhile, is actually very unstable. it gets more unstable to older it gets. it is solidified nitroglycerine, after all.
Him playing the “General Lee Horn” is kinda bold I’m surprised people aren’t flipping out. 😂 the horn is literally the tune for “Dixieland” it was literally the Confederate National Anthem lol
I hope Jimmy just has enough of the haters one day and becomes a super villain, just filming all these horrendous things he does with his money for content
