This is a repair video for my MRC Prodigy Advanced Squared unit. The link function light was not working. I had power to the track but could not get a single locomotive to work and it was not sending a signal. I needed to replace an IC chip which I show in this video. Also, while repairing, I checked the other chips and contacts for wear and breakage. Hopefully this will help others out that may have had this issue.
Cause: The ethernet cord connectors were reversed on one of the new cables that I had used. I didn't check the cables before installing them. Lesson learned.

Wish I had your Skills. I damaged my Prodigy Express about 2 weeks ago, and struggling to find a new replacement unit.

Dont push #2 to hard lol great vid. My express hand held doesn’t have a backlight I’m trying to figure out how to retrofit one

Very true. I noticed as I rewatched the video how hard I was actually pushing on the controller. I think I was trying to over exaggerate me pushing the button for the video. I am definitely interested to know if you are able to retrofit a backlight on your Express handheld. I haven't heard of anybody doing that yet.
