It's as easy to setup as MRC says. I love my WiFi Prodigy. It frees me up to run my trains from my smartphone. However, you can't do more advanced DCC functions in WiFi mode through the app such as speed matching locomotives. A more advanced app would need to be developed for mobile devices to handle such advanced DCC functions. Despite this limitation, WiFi Prodigy is an awesome product. -from Tom Pilling
As long as the WiFi module is set to a different cab number than the hand held it will work. The default number on the WiFi module is 2. The default cab number on the handheld is 1.
