As a Czech I was cringing watching you eat the food - it reminded me when my Czech mom ate a raw plantain :). The meat spreads are eaten thinly spread over bread, often over bread and butter, they are not eaten with a spoon/fork. And the broth jelly in the can is the best part - but again, it needs to be spread on bread or a on a roll.
Ahhhhhhhhh don't complain okay in the field or in a survival situation that canned meat )& grease) would taste like "fried gold" you'd eat it all up 🤪😜👍
Welcome back Nathan , Amanda and Phillip ! Heard about another ration called " minotaur trading company " , contains freeze dried food and Phillips favorite drinks , cafe bustelo , funky folgers and nescrapfe ( and a lot of it , too )
Good to hear they are doing okay. I think that was liver pate. Not many people I know that likes liver. Of course liver has a lot of iron which is the same as vitamin B12. Makes sense why it in this ration. I've never had pate before. I don't know if you guys know this, but Spam is basically is bore pig, which is cheaper and great for smoking. Fwiw when you are in the field working and sweating you loose a bunch of sodium. Hence the high levels of sodium in military rations. Plus the sugar and chocolate included in rations is a morale adjuster! Being wet and cold sucks! Having some comfort foods is always a plus!
Welcome back. Glad you´r all okay. Just a note: That´s not a rare ration, there´s an online shop on Chech Republic that sells that and has stock every time i check. :p
It looks good, I like the meat chunks. Armour brand beef stew lacks good chunks, it's almost pureed, compared to Dinty Moore. This Czech type just needs some veggies, maybe peas and corn.

Its a canned beef sausage - just the filling and no casing. FWIW: that is definitely a Chech version of Gulas -- it is Pork for one thing: 50% pork, drinking water, pork, onion, wheat flour, tomato paste, salt mixture: table salt, preservative: E250; mixture of spices, thickeners: guar gum, xanthan; dye: E150c; spice extract, yeast extract, aroma.
