I lost my Mum in 2017. Christmas has never been the same since. My family has never been the same since either. It’s sad. But I enjoyed watching you put everything up, with such tenderness. I have a hutch exactly like yours that I purchased from Etsy. This is my 2nd year with it and I enjoy decorating it for each holiday. Your hutch came out beautiful! You have done your Mom proud. ❤️

Your Mother's hutch is beautiful. We miss our Mothers everyday, but Christmas is so much harder. I love the way you have decorated it this year. ❤ My Daddy bought my Mother a ceramic tree one year. When we were dividing her things, my son and my neice both spoke for it. I told them we would flip a coin. But my son said my neice could have it but if she ever didn't want it she should give it to him. A few years ago, I bought my son and his wife and both grandchildren and one for my husband and myself in small ones that like up. When my son opened his he started to cry. I had put a note with them that they would always have Nanny's tree. We all teared up but I was about to bawl seeing my son cry. I was so glad I did that. My Mother has been in Heaven for 16 years now. The memories that use to rip our hearts out, now are like a warm blanket. So special. Thank you for sharing these memories with us. 🙏 ❤🎄🎅🎁⛄🙏 HUGS

I lost my mom 3 1/2 years ago. I completely understand. It doesn't get any easier. It so hard during the holidays. I feel comfort talking about my mom, to me it keeps her memory alive.

Sweetie, the hardest part of growing older is losing those we love. I lost my Mom 35 years ago and still miss her. I am retired now,but the memories are ours to keep. My Mom had 8 children and I am the oldest. She passed on December 22nd, and while that was hard, we celebrated Christmas that year because we knew how much she loved Christmas, and she would not have been happy if we didn’t! You are entitled to tears, but remember to smile too, just like in this video. Your hutch is precious. Keep smiling!🤗🥰

That hutch is ADORABLE! I love that you have mixed new things with your vintage/sentimental goodies! When I was unpacking my Christmas items this year, I found two items that had belonged to my "Nana" (grandmother) who passed away about 15 years ago. They're not Christmas items, but I put one on top of the hutch and one on top of my kitchen cabinet. I haven't had the space to decorate for Christmas (or anything else) in several years but in April we purchased a larger home and I have been having fun decorating for the different holidays since then. I already had so many decorations and I had simply forgotten about a lot of them. Then when I found Nana's teapots, I just couldn't stop smiling! This year I FINALLY got to have the Gingerbread Kitchen I've wanted for years. I still have to make the curtain for the window, but I have the cute fabric with gingerbread houses waiting to be transformed! My grandkiddos came over last week and loved it! I have some good moments however the bad ones are far more than the good. My Mom is still alive but I’ve been forced to mourn as if she isn’t. And although the choices I had to make are in fact for the best I think it’s only natural to wish that they could be different. I miss my mom and dad too especially now.. I have a few of moms special things This past January my son and his family lost everything when their house burned down . I just gave them a few ornaments I had and will save family special decorations for next year when their new home is built. Time to pass things down I'm getting older and its time

Im so happy the way you stay close to your mom. My mom passed 30 yrs ago hdr birthday was the 22 of Dec. We always decorated for her birthday im living in a RV right now and i miss decorating with everything I will again soon also my son passed 23 yrs ago he would have been 42i have always put his kindergarten picture he made to hang on tree at top of tree memories are special thanks for sharing
