Sherlock Holmes stands at his window at 221B Baker St… His hands behind his back, holding on tightly to his bow and violin. His expression unreadable as he watches the cars pass by his home without a care in the world. All of them completely unaware that a light has left this Earth, and that it is so much darker now that it has. There will be no more light footsteps meandering up his flat’s staircase now. Never again will he hear the familiar: “Oh-Sherlock! What a mess you’ve made!” bouncing off the walls. No more: “I’m not your housekeeper.” echoing outside of his door as she took her leave. No more warmth that the fireplace could not compete with. No more radiant smile of adoration and affection. The day has finally come for him to softly announce what he has dreaded to utter since he declared it wouldn’t be so… Sherlock: “England has fallen…” Rip Mrs. Hudson.

This broke my heart. No one in this show loves Sherlock the way she does, right from S1E1 to S4E3.. and I'm sure Sherlock adores no one the way he adores her. All those warm hugs and kisses he showers upon her, again, right from Day 1, those are exclusively hers! If they ever show the loss of Mrs Hudson in the show, it's going to be brutal to watch.

I was always hoping there'd be a season 5 but with Una Stubb's death,I don't think it'd be possible...Rip Una Stubbs no one would ever be as sweet warm and caring Mrs Hudson as you💐

i agree, but also if by any chance a season 5 does get made someday soon (i doubt it will, but this is an if) i think it would be nice to have a bit of a tribute to Una by saying Mrs Hudson has also passed, maybe they have a funeral for her or maybe it takes place a bit after her death (since Una did die 2yrs ago) and John & Sherlock are honouring her memory in some way. it would be sad and also unusual to not have her there, but i feel like it couldn't be impossible. but as i said i doubt we're ever gonna get a season 5, no matter how much the fans ask for it 😭
