The Georgia story isn’t uncommon or new. I graduated high school with an Associate’s Degree from Griffin Tech. There are several tech & vocational programs in the university system in Georgia that offer these programs. This is far more common than people realize. The reason the cohorts are small is 1. Not every student can keep up academically 2. It’s almost akin to night school and summer school through our Junior and Senior Years of High School 3. Most parents may not be onboard with transiting their kids to a university on the other side of town every day for 2 years straight. It’s common in Georgia just requires an equal commitment from the parents & student to achieve it.

Where I’m from (South Central LA), from the early 80s and beyond, light skinned women got love and admiration from both the boys and girls.
