This presentation review synthesizes current research on pregnancy's effects on ocular health. Hormonal fluctuations, notably estrogen and progesterone, influence ocular structures, altering vision and potentially causing complications such as corneal thickening and intraocular pressure fluctuations. Pregnancy-related conditions like gestational diabetes and hypertension can exacerbate ocular issues like diabetic retinopathy. Ocular symptoms may also indicate systemic conditions like preeclampsia.
