Hormonal fluctuations, notably estrogen and progesterone, influence ocular structures, altering vision and potentially causing complications such as corneal thickening and intraocular pressure fluctuations. Pregnancy-related conditions like gestational diabetes and hypertension can exacerbate ocular issues like diabetic retinopathy. Ocular symptoms may also indicate systemic conditions like preeclampsia.
