The wife picks up after me as usual, so I was hoping for a first here, asking my wife to pick up after me again, this time its the GS laying on the ground with a full take of fuel with a weight of 249 kilos, plus some accessories. if you are someone that reads this dribble, I would be interested in your views on putting a subs video together, would you share with me 30 seconds of video hello with your bike or the favourite mode of transport and then we can all share a video together. Thank You!

I can confirm from personal experience dropping my 1st GS twice that if you're doing it "for real" that the combination of adrenaline and not wanting anyone to see you look a complete muppet makes it a lot easier

Absolutely but if at all possible stop, calm down and think what the best method is so it can be completed in one go. Busted C spine injuries stay with you a lifetime so research and I guess some assisted practice in the correct method will see you through come that day. Plenty of method vids out there.

True, I've lifted my Blackbird when it was on it's side from directly in front of my office., full of sales guys who would love to have an excuse to rip the piss. I got it back up in seconds!

Oh man! Top marks for posting this vid. Your poor wife attempting the 1st method had me cringing and hoping we didn't see actual footage of an irreparably damaged spine. Was always going to be challenging using the correct method given her height and exhausted state. She must love you so much to do that on camera.. .

Very good effort. If you can't put it in gear then the other suggestion is to clamp the front brake lever with heavy duty rubber band or a bit of rope or something similar.

And this is when it’s flat ! We dropped a gsa on the downside of a hill and none of the big lads could lift it. Either two or more or pivot the whole bike 180 on the pegs was the only answer ..

Youre doing it wrong... so much easier with the back towards the bike.. try a search and watch the technique.. someone less strong than your wife can do it.

I've tried doing it that way but if you're vertically challenged like me with adventure bikes it can be a problem because the seat is so high as are bits you gain grab hold of and I ended up standing straight but the bike was still leaning against me so I had to lay it back down again as I just couldn't turn round with the bike still not upright enough.

Michael thank you for your kind comments, she constantly takes tablets due to the fact that she lives with me! I feel sorry for her but I can guarantee when I sell her on she would not have been abused in any way
