Agreeing with comments by Lorenzo Lamanna, Mark Fisher, and specadmin about bass player carrying everything and keyboard player. Guitar player good, gets two choruses. Bass player is shown a couple times during this (5:36) and later. Musicians are Macedonian. Language of music per Pee Wee Ellis goes round the world.
ALWAYS ALWAYS I DONT KNOW why ?? ALL 🎥 CAMERA ARE ANTI BASS PLAYERS !! I think they are those people who don’t know anything about music fundamentals !!!! Been said that they are people who can t even hear bass properly :.. don’t know if funk music can exist without bass ...
@@joevarvel1776 Really? See Tommy Igoe and the Buddy Rich Big Band "The Chicken" video here on RU-vid. When you get TWO masters doing this it is something else.
a world class big band. Solid and metronomic with plenty of soul. Sounds are beautiful and the solos are jems of elegance and understatement. Truly a winner ensemble. Bravissimi!
This whole band is GREAT. But, I haven’t seen a comment about how great the winds are playing. They are almost perfectly in tune and the runs are in sync. The bass is killing it and connected with his drummer as well. Great keyboard solo. Great band in general.
The ending left me wanting so much more... I wanted to hear a big E-flat dominant 7 then a Bb resolution with the drummer going ape-shit.... This left me wanting so much more!!!!!!!
"Canadian armed forces long distance band" did a great virtual version of this at the start of covid. the "zoom" editing gives a really good feel for the bass, tenor sax etc. and a strong lead trumpet.
awh man, i was waiting for the high F# on first trumpet. I remember i got to play lead on this tune and it was the first chart i discovered i had range.
Watch this video about 50 times and have wondered why the drummer looks so paranoid. Well he's separated by that f--ing pillar and can't hear the band like he should. Other than that he is spot on. Nice group.
Kudos to the rhythm section. Why would you jack up the soul intro like that? The soli section ...epic fail. Why would you omit the bass lead in to the tune when you have a wicked bassist? I guess you don't have any sax players that can improv. So sad
