The album ‘Secondhand Rapture’ Available Now: smarturl.it/Sec... msmrsounds.com/ / msmrsounds / msmrsounds / msmrsounds Music video by MS MR performing Fantasy. (P) 2012 Creep City Records
Don't know what you think you saw You didn't know at all Lost sight of who you are Came to make a connection Force myself in a dimension Lost sight of myself If I could force my heart, my ears, my mind And eyes to get in line Maybe I'll find something real Not a fantasy so divine Let myself down each time Let myself down each time How could you be what I wanna see? How could you be what I wanna see? How could you be what I wanna see? When my reality Could never live up, could never live up To the fantasy Revolution from dissolution, hypnotizing and demoralizing Pressure of the future, too much for today How many hours will I let slip away Before I realize existing and living Are not the same Are not the same How could you be what I wanna see? How could you be what I wanna see? How could you be what I wanna see? When my reality Could never live up, could never live up To the fantasy How could you be what I wanna see? How could you be what I wanna see? How could you be what I wanna see? When my reality Could never live up, could never live up To the fantasy
For some reason, I listened to this song very frequently when I started high school, thinking about how everyone gets better grades than me, how everyone's more worthy and smarter. 4 years later(now), I got accepted to the college I wished for the most. Never give up 🤗
they still do exist. have you noticed how many layers of vocals and percussions there are? the beauty of music is, it doens thave to be complex, it jsut has to spek to the soul, and this does. its in the harmony of the song, and it does transmit emotion, just in a way different than how you percieve it
so sorry msmr are finnised for good this is still one of the best songs ever and the video is still awsome ten years later thankyou @lpx and @alexmaaax you legends
I don't know what I love more, the video or the sound... I love how dark and seemingly random it is. I like the way it leaves the viewer open to form their own stories and interpretations of whats going on.. Its all pretty dream-like and fabulous. I especially love the part where he seems to trap her in the phone booth - ringing and drawing her in to pick up, then she gets trapped and suffocates.
I saw them live at the Denver 93.3 Big Gig. They are amazing live, I wasn't expecting much, but they blew me away, so much talent and perfect live. To judge them you need to see them live.
Sad these guys aren’t making music anymore this song is genuinely a masterpiece (kooky music vid aside). I was a huge fan in high school and still avidly listen 10 years later For me I resonated with this song so much, I was always delulu in one sided relationships where guys just wanted me for one thing and then I’d always go over the top to force a relationship to work. I was a hopeless romantic and naive in love. “Maybe if I could force my heart, my ears, my mind, maybe I’d find something real not a fantasy so divine”
I have known this song and group before project almanac but I definitely agree with Topkek 69 , it was awesome to here this song and many other awesome songs in that movie
U know that feeling u get when u have a hair in ur mouth? Well it'd be like that but x10 cuz it's a thousand pieces of small confetti all in ur mouth and ur body. I remember one time there was this rainbow sand in a bottle. I was little and thought it was candy. I put a handful in my mouth and decided it was the worst decision of my life. It tasted soooo bad! I don't think confetti would be much different... lol just saying
YES YES! I listened to this during 2013 & suddenly remembered it this year but couldn't recall whose song, until this day!!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSS IM SO HAPPY
The older I get the more I worry that I'll lose touch with what it was like as a kid to hear something new and different and genuinely enjoy it straight off the bat. Thanks MS MR for giving me something new to love :)
after the game ended I went to our gigantic living room window and stared out for straight 30 mins and ignoring whatever question my family asks me. not even kidding.
I didn't know glitter vomit was something I needed in my life. I am pleased. Not only with how strangely beautiful the puke was, but how good the song was.
There are four main images in this video: that of "fantasy" women, "reality" women, a "fantasy" man, and a "reality" man. The "fantasy" women in this video are the cheerleaders. They initially present an idealized stereotype - a fantasy - which can never be lived up to. In the end, that fantasy can never be real, shown by the cheerleaders throwing up glitter, perhaps a reference to eating disorders which many girls feel are necessary to attain these "fantasy" bodies. The second image is the older women. They represent a reality, not a fantasy, and are not corrupted by the end of the video. MS also stands with the older women, being a part of the reality, not the fantasy. After the second verse, we see images of a severed hand, a mysterious man in candlelight and on a phone, and a phone booth. MS walks into the phone booth and becomes trapped. The image of MS in the phone booth with the man on the phone gives the idea that she may have again become trapped in someone else's fantasy, which she cannot live up to. Alternately, the switch to the repeated lyric "how could /you/ be what /I/ wanted to see" could show that MS herself also has fantasies which cannot exist either, in the case of the man on the phone. The "reality" image (like the old women) is the man drumming in the back. His face isn't shown, which implies that his appearance is not his attracting factor. Instead, his actions, taken only for his own enjoyment, display that he is not trying to live up to anyone's fantasy, and is instead a reality. This music video shows the effects of trying to live up to fantasies, and that they are ultimately unattainable and can be harmful to both parties. Instead, happiness is achieved by living for oneself, instead of existing to achieve an impossible fantasy.
I feel so bad for the actors with the glitter on them. I swear they never leave, no matter how much you wash you'll always find a spec of glitter somewhere.
Hey Everyone! I made a Nightcore of Fantasy by MS MR so guys can you please check it out on my channel? :D Tell me how it is? It's My first Nightcore :)
Usually I hate iTunes automatically playing in my car when I first start the car, but this morning I was not disappointed by being reminded of this track 🙏
I managed to pause at the right frame and saw that the news cast static said 'Breaking News: Kidnapping Conspiracy' with the female and male's pictures on it. I am expecting another video in the future! I don't know who this group was but I'll be watching them later!
hey I'm looking for this other music video, I can't remember the lyrics or name of the artist but it's similar to this one, the thumbnail is of a cheerleader in a green and white uniform, the video itself is a group of cheerleaders dancing in partial slow mo in a diner and the parking lot, if anyone recognizes what I'm talking about and could help me out that'd be great. cheers
