Good point. I think a lot of us have heard that we shouldnt pray twice but this proves differently. Blessings!

redrider I found this video on your tube that explains why pain returns after a person is prayed for. “Why can sickness come back after prayer and healing in the name of Jesus.” The name of the channel who put this video out it’s called follow Jesus. I recently for the first time ever in my Christian life prayed for a woman who had no cartilage in her knee and who had recently had a shoulder in injury that she had to get surgery for. She was wearing a sling on her arm and could barely lift her arm vertically before they would be excruciating pain. I have been watching Parms videos and the Lord has been speaking to me for weeks to pray for this woman. But I was so fearful of what would happen I thought what if nothing happens and I would like a fool? So I prayed for her. I prayed three times for the shoulder and she could lift it and have full range of motion on it with no pain. She said the pain in her knee was a seven. When I first prayed for it it went down to a three. When I pray for the second time there was no pain when she put pressure on it and she walked normally with no limp or anything. Then the next morning I saw her limping again and asked her how she was doing. She said she shouldn’t have lifted her arm and moved it the way she did because she had pain excruciating pain.She also said that the pain came back in her knee. You can imagine this being my first time ever praying for someone like this how discouraging it was to my Faith. So I looked online and I couldn’t find anything about this happening to anyone until the Lord led me to this video that I told you about. If you want anymore information please message me. redrider Symptoms returning can be due to many factors. It is important to sit the individual down and talk to them. It may be a spirit of infirmity as in Luke 13:10-12, in which the person is healed but may have a demon in them that needs to be cast out that is the root cause of the sickness. The individual may be actively and willfully participating in sin. If you are willfully sinning you open doorways in the spiritual realm for demons to torment you. If you continue with this Holy Spirit will leave you and the demon(s) will then inhabit your body and cause illnesses be they physical, mental, emotional, etc. If you continue in sin, you become a slave to sin (John 8:34, Romans 6:15-23). It’s important to explain to them about repentance and to pray for them then and there after they’ve repented to be filled up and experience the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. You have the authority in Jesus name by faith to pray for this baptism just as you have the authority by faith to lay hands on the sick and see them healed. They will before your eyes be set free and speak in tongues. Another factor may be their unbelief/doubt about their healing. If you are overcome with fear that the healing wasn’t real Satan will cause lying symptoms to reoccur. However if the person declares and believes by faith that they were healed and declares with faith that Jesus sacrifice on the cross paid for their healing, those lying symptoms will leave immediately. When we’re out laying hands on the sick, it’s important to then tell them the gospel message. Acts 2:38-39 1) what Jesus did for them, and if they accept Him 2) they need to repent for their sins by making an act of their will to turn from evil ways and turn to God 3) be baptized in water to Jesus and explained to them that this saves them from sin as they’re old sin nature is buried under water with Christ then when they arise they are a new creature in Jesus 4) they need to be baptized with Holy Spirit who enables them to live their new life by the Spirit and not by the old adamic nature. Once they understand all this then you say a prayer with them for repentance, then you pray that Holy Spirit will come and fill them up and the sign that you know they’ve received Holy Spirit is that they will speak in tongues. Then you as the believer have the authority by God to baptize them. Take them immediately to a place to immerse them in water. Then disciple them by taking them out on the street and teach them how to lay hands on the sick etc.

I have encountered two school of thoughts on how to handle the situation when healing is not instant: Some says after we have prayed we should believe it happened regardless of no change ! So we should encourage the sick that it's done and he/she should thank God and confess their healed already without any more prayers! The second group believes that we should continue to pray till we see the manifestation of healing even if it will take days or weeks ! I am wondering how do they go about this in faith? So for example when u command the spirit of infirmity to leave and command healing to take place then nothing seems to change! How do we pray then the next time? Do we still repeat to command spirit of infirmity to leave and command healing again? Or do we just command healing in the sense that we are adding to the annointing we have released the first time? Or do we just pray as if we didn't pray earlier? If we cast again the spirit does that mean we don't believe it left the first time we commanded it to leave? And if we only believe our prayer worked only after we see the manifested healing isn't that walking in the sense( what we see or feel) than faith? Pastor can u help me on this please?
