My 400 is my go to say for everything I’ve even ran a 36 on it just to see how it will pull and it did really good considering the size of the saw but the power for the saw is great

The 400 has a broad power curve it does not fall off as quick as the 462

Stock or ported ? The 400, in my opinion, is the best deal on a new Stihl.
