When the gospel is made an object of entertainment rather than worship, when music is turned to comedy rather than prayer, When men become lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, When the solemn truths that we hold as a Church are degraded to make people laugh instead of turning them to God, Then, God will defend his name, and the results shall be seen in broad daylight. My prayer is that you may realize the danger of playing with sacred things and turn from your error before it is too late.
